Hey guys I'm I'm building gmy 88 vert and it's going be n/a at first then going turbo so just wondering what ecu I should get or recommendation

 

What is your budget and what does your preferred tuner recommend?

 

Hey man we'll use to have a sprint re haltech in it but I'm going re do all the wiring with new OEM harness and I'd like know what best ECUs are so I can look at prices and make a decision I'm just getting back into Rotary

 

As far as I know, the rule has always been that the "best" ecu is the one your tuner is most familiar with. I'd speak with whoever is going to map/tune the car for their input.

Different budgets unlock different tiers of quality. AEM Infinity or Haltech Elites are both pretty modern and budget friendly. Link and Adaptronic have their own fans. Motec, Syvecs, and Emtron are higher quality but will cost you.

There is no point in dropping $$$ on a high end ecu if your tuner only knows how to tune a microtech.

 

As someone who is on his sixth FD ECU, I think Fendamonkey's point is axiomatic. One's heart / brain surgeon determines the technique and equipment, not the other way around... unless of course, one is planning to do their own surgery. Not that I'll try again.
