Break In period for a fresh rebuild questions
Hello everyone,
I've been around the forum for a couple of years now, but have not posted much since the rear rotor toasted itself one year ago. This last weekend I became the owner of a fresh Atkins rebuild with a new Racing Beat header and have a few questions concerning the break in period. I know not to rev over 4k rpm's for the first 1000 miles, but is there anything else I should be doing to help the rotors settle in and feel at home?
I try to cruise around and keep the rpm's at a smooth pace. Meaning I'm not winding thru the gears.
Any tips and hints would be much appreciated.
By the way the car is a 85 GSL-SE, and 1st gear goes by way to quickly.
