Battery draining over night 1988 2nd gen

Just wondering some things I should be checking as we have just put in a new alternator and battery and it keeps draining within a few days. Most recently it drained during the day. The alarm has never worked in the 15 years I've had the car but could that suddenly be causing the drain? I also recently had an electric fan installed and the problem started after that but also had some work done on the air conditioning wiring around the same time.

Thanks in advance.

it sounds like your issue is related to the wiring work that has been done recently, I would start there and make sure your fan is grounded properly
