ATTN: For all the RX-7 Gurus..ran into some trouble

to make a long story short..tonight a friend of mine came to me with a problem with his car. he has a 93 RX-7..and complained about the car not making boost sometimes...and at other times it WOULD make boost. When i drove it..the symptoms were there...every once in a while when i punched it..it would make boost...but at other times the car felt as if it were making power on the motor alone. Also his idle is kind of rough. Now about the boost problem..could it perhaps be his actuator?? and the idle..perhaps the plugs? any help would be greatly appreciated.

He's talkin about my RX7 ladies and gents. After me and 2jz split up, I got the idea that the vaccum hoses might be cracked and may need to be replaced.

When I got home I went for a ride around the block and the boost came back. Can anyone help?

There are so many possibilities oh what could be wrong. How much boost are you getting and at what RPM? Is it the same all the time or just sometimes. Be more specific.

I'd have to see it to tell you what I think. Luckily I live in Houston on the north side. PM me if you need some help.

Broken/sticky wastegate actuator or a hose related to it. Problem Solved.
