AZ Acceleration Problem

I'm having a problem accelerating, it start after a had to replace a fuel leaking hose under the intake manifold, I've double checked all the vacuum line 3 times now re-adjusted the idle and the throttle and checked the mass air flow sensor and now I'm stumped, my acceleration has been cut in half! Please Help!

It would help if you listed all your mods and if the car is turbo or not.

this is happening my friends 300zx. you get up to 2000rpm and the car starts jolting back and forth right? well his catalytic converter is messed up (he is now trying to sell his car). disconnect and reconnect your mass airflow sensor and take it out for a short ride. try to put a little acceleration into it too. if it works good, it will only work for a few min like that. i will ask him what the problem is exactly then ill get back with you

oh and he can only get up to about 50mph but when he disconnects the mass airflow sensor then reconnects it, he can hit 140. if you already figured it out let me know please

huh well you should be able to start the car without that on.. turns out my friends catalytic convertor is clogged up bad. and that may be why your car cant run without the mass airflow sensor. i had a car that i had that disconnected for a couple days cuz the sensor was clogged.

Number ONE..leave Piston engines out of the equation! This is a Rotary Forum.
Number TWO..to the OP you will have to explain further exactly what you did,and what is happening.
Nobody knows how fast your car was before hand!
have to checked to see if you have a vacuum leak,or checked the Throttle cable for Slack?.
and Yes.If the AFM is Disconnected the car will start and Die,and start and Die..until you Plug it back IN.

take out the mass airflow sensor and check to see if the hole is clogged up. if it is you can clean it out and put it back in. i had a car that i could start it up and run it without but when i connected it it would die unless i kept the rpm's up. i bought a new one for $100 at autozone then put it in and the car ran good. then i noticed there were cobwebs where the air was supposed to go through so i cleaned it out and put it on and it worked so i got my 100 back. good luck
