84 12a shimmying
My car shimmies at 45 mph. I got the steering housing rebuilt and the tie rod ends and wheel bearings are all new. The tires are all balanced and the alignment was adjusted. The mechanic recommends new rims as the current lug nut holes may be out of round. They are after market aluminum wheels.
The car's always shimmied in the past at 85 MPH and on long slow curves at 40-50 MPH.
So I'm looking for new rims, but don't know that this will for sure solve the problems. I need some advice.
