3 rotor engine?

Exactlly how hard would it be to make a 3 rotor engine....whut all would i need...i plan to make the engine from scratch unless it gets to complicated.....but i was gonna start off with aluminum block and just start fabricating from there....how much power would a 3 rotor produce and how many problems would there be....as in ecu, intake , all sort of small things?

Mazda already makes one. It would be cheaper to buy one than to make it from scratch.

Here, read this thread. Its long but it goes into great detail about putting the Mazda 20B in a 2nd Gen RX7.

Mazda makes a 20b which is a 3 rotor that was originally in the Cosma (Japan only) You could pick one up used on a crate for anywhere from $2500-$4500. As for power potential, I am looking for about 650 rwhp at low boost (14 psi) and on pump gas. Some people running the stock twins in parralle look at around 300rwhp I believe and some drag cars make well over 1000 with them. Here are a few links with more info.

Search the 20b forum and I'm sure you will find the answers to any of your questions.

Just start with a regular 2 rotor and work your way up as you learn.

Even I imagined what it would take to build one. Then I decided to buy a 20B instead.
