1990 fc street port

Hello i am absolutely brand new to not only this forum but rotary motor in general so I am a littleslow on picking some of it sometimes. please read the whole thing as it has had problems since i bought it a few weeks ago.
She ran fine when i was just driving normally maybe gettin on it but it didnt give me problems the first week. i eventually took it to the track and that was where the problems started. i was beatin on it a little bit tryin it out at the drift track for 2 weekends and after every day i went at the end it was running really rough but got better after a day or 2. finally the last time it didnt recover and i started replacing stuff that i knew needed replacing anyway and it was still running really shitty i thought there was something stuck in the fuel system or the injectors or something so i gunned it up to about 6000 rpm and it just stopped sounded like it siezed (which its not back tires move in gear when towed and i can turn the flywheel manually) but those are the characteristics of the problem when i try and start it the starter sounds like it engages but never truly turns so i am leaning towards starter short or something but i want someone who knows a little more than myself as a second opinion. i appreciate anyones help.

welcome to the board.

i never understood the logic behind someone detecting that something is not right with their car, and the response is to push it harder. anyway, that's just a passing comment - neither here nor there.

you basically took a car you just bought to a track and did drifting events with it, now it's broken. start with the basics. check fuel, spark and compression. even if your starter is messed up, it didn't cause the engine to stop running unless something really unfortunate (or dumb) occurred.
