Exclamation 13b-rew or 13b-re oil bypass and oil pump.

Ive got the front cover off the 13b-re thats in my car. I am putting the front cover from an rew on it.

Questions, while I am doing this should I install the rear bypass and oil pump from the rew?

Are the oil pumps the same?

I belive the re runs less oil pressure than the rew? Should I avoid mixing and matching the bypasses from the engines.

Is there anything else besides the front and rear bypass systems that controll the oil pressure?

Thanks

use the pressure regulators. i don't think you have a choice but to use the original RE pump because i don't think the REW pump will physically bolt on to any of the other 13Bs. no loss though ... the RE pump is just fine.

I take it you mean use the rew pressure regulators?

I looked at the pumps side by side, and they look functionally identicle, to clarify identicle in every way (dimentionally, bolt pattern etc) except the casting marks on the pump body.

yes, i meant use the REW pressure regulators. i guess i forgot and mis-spoke earlier. the RE uses the REW pump, so yes, they are identical. for the record, the RE uses the 13B-T regulators and REW pump.
