TY performance ~

welcome to the board.

you will probably fare better if you post your request in the Microtech forum of the board.

about 20-25 degrees advance at idle, 35 under higher loads and about 40-45 when cruising. for fuel AFR it all depends on the size of your PP, the larger it is the more fuel hungry it will be. 11-12.5AFR is a good starting point to aim for in all rev ranges, slowly taking out fuel and monitoring performance, if you lose performance then you are too lean. a PP isn't a novice engine to tune, even if it is n/a

for flames just set all the 25-30"Hg ranges to about 1Ms or higher and retard timing to 10BTDC in the same ranges, you'll get a lot of unburnt fuel on decel. just don't cry to me if your bumper melts.

so you're saying this is something that they're doing on purpose?

having never used a dyno or attended an actual dyno-tuning session, please forgive my possible ignorance here. i always thought that the flames i saw in most of those videos was something relatively normal. i thought the extra fuel was just a natural by-product of the high RPM, high load conditions.

by the way ... welcome back, man.

on n/a cars it's not usually normal to even pop flames if tuned well enough. on turbo cars sometimes it just happens even with a good tune on higher output setups. it really depends on how much of a flame you want to toss out, when i was first tuning my car it would torch up on decel and shoot a 8 foot fireball after a hard pull in 3rd, lol. luckily the tip was far enough back that my bumper is still ok. it was scary the first time it happened, because it was pitch black out and once it lit up the whole sides of my car and behind were lit up for about a half mile for a split second.

thanks, where are you down here anyways?
