My new Pineapple rebuild pics

I just got this in the mail today! Here are some pics; not too exiting- but maybe someone is interested?

It is a Pineapple Racing 5 year spec rebuild (cryo treated bearings, more new parts, etc) w/ 89+ TII housings, 87-88 TII rotors, stage 2 street port, 3mm seals, and stage 3 oiling mods

I think it looks fine how it is, but want to protect it from corrosion and lower the surface porosity so it is easier to keep clean. This has led me to consider spraying it w/ the VHT 1500 deg clear coat that Summit sells as I can paint over both Alum. and iron parts and it should look OK. Anyone have experience w/ this product?

OK, some pics...

Intermediate housing ports...

-edit- oooh, that is a crummy pic! I guess I zoomed too much and even auto focus couldn't save me. Sorry :-(

Hey! I'm planning on going with Pineapple when I get a rebuild for my TII. Looks beautiful and you can't beat that 5 year warranty!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost you? I'm looking for something quite similar to that but with the stock 89-91 rotors for better revability (I don't plan on going insane on the boost). I suppose I could just call Rob up and ask him...

Timeslip?

Also, point to this post? A ported motor running 13.6 isn't all that impressive. After all, one of the member's posted a 8. something via a ported 13B motor, no power adder.

Performance rebuild based on 5yr. core $2400
Stage 2 porting $ 250
Stage 3 oil mods $ 325
Machining of apex grooves to 3mm $ 295
HD apex seals $ 495

That is the run down on price of my rebuild. Also I payed the $400 core charge since I decided to keep my old engine (want to learn to rebuild a rotary :-)

Now I truly understand "Credit that knows no end"

That's about the same price I paid for my car.

OK, so the $2400 is the price of the engine itself? I always got the impression that the $2400 was the base cost plus the cost of whatever housings had to be replaced. Since my front housing is probably a mess, I was petrified at the cost of a new engine for my car. Now that I'm looking at spending $2400+ whatever options I want, I'm much happier.
