Yo, for the word "invasion" to ring true, we have to get serious something fierce. I'm talking more rotors than these old town, old timers knew existed. We need everyone with a rotor
(or 2 or 3) to show up. We'll be coming from Sebring, 2 hours away. So I don't want any of this I couldn't make it bull crap.

Let's make it an invasion.

Hey guys, just an FYI there's a 3 mod rule to enter your car to the Old Town cruise, this means you have to have at least 3 exterior modifications done to your car, the people at registration are not car experts by any means, so if you do not have your 3 mods just make then up(make them sound believable) and you'll be in.
Also try to get there EARLY, the Mopar guys and the Corolla crew are there before 6pm EVERY FRIDAY and they take up the whole front section of OT, let's try to be there before 6 so we can take over the front lot.

Ok guys is coming up Friday May 1, 2009 Rotary Invasion at Old Town, hope to see all of you there.

 

What happened on the first guys? We showed up, and they didn't even let 3 of us in the show because we had a few dents, and sunroof rust (FC)... After parking somewhere else, we went in, and there was like 5 cars there with rotarys.

 

That guy at the door really doenst know what a real car is. I saw a bunch of cars with neon lights and strobe lights go in. Cars that are absolute garbage drive up like its something good. If you have a 400hp rotary and some dents, kiss your *** good bye. You will not get through the gate.


Here are the mod needed to go in :

Tinted windows
wing
flashy lights
lights around your dash
stickers
shinny mufflers
toy cars under your hood
mirrors
loud music

 

^^^Sadly this is true, this is one of the reasons that Old Town doesn't appeal to many rotorheads, and most of the guys that do decide to come to one of the meets never come back because of this. Most of us spend our hard earn cash into making our cars faster rather than making them "look" faster. This is why we would like to move the meets to the Central Florida Road Course, there are no BS rules on who can and can't get in and if your adrenaline is pumping, you can always hit the track and relief some stress.
