And on Saturday May 2nd there will be a rotary meet @ Central Florida Road Course.

Ok guys another rotary meet at The CFRC now is open for 1/8th Drag Racing on Saturday nights from 7pm-2AM ...last sat was a very crowded night as you see on the pics post by Khronus79 (great pics), they have music, food, a large parking area and lighted. I like the orlando track muchh better. Why arent we meeting here? I havent seen any cars with lambo doors and outrageous paint jobs that show how "bad ***" your ride is. Boosted 240s, rx7s...hell yes! Maybe some of these hondas will have something done to the that will make them a little faster than their reputation says. How late is this track open? 1/8th, 1/4, or drift.


This place actually looks better than a bunch of kid rides around a bunch of riced out cars.

 

This is the place were we've been trying to do a few meets and bring the Rx7 and Rx8 communities together along with the old schoolers(is that even a word??) but besides the few hardcore rotorheads, we haven't seen much interest from either side. However if you do decide to come let us know when and we'll try to be there, there's usually 5 or 6 of us that attend all the meets. As far as the track goes, the drag strip is 1/8th mile, they also have a road course, friday night drifting, crooked drags(auto-x), and kart racing. Here's a few pics of the track:

Oh, and on Saturday night drags the track is open from 7pm till 2am

 

great pics. Someday I'll make it down there. Keep up the work on getting the community together. From experience I know it takes time. The word will get out and it'll grow. Be patient and keep it up! Your efforts will be rewarded!

 

Thanks evot23, I know the hardest part is getting the word out, but will keep spreading it until we make this a proper rotary meet.

 

I'll come out to cfrc, what are the rules for the cars? helmets,jacket,etc??

 

on Saturday night drags, only street cars allowed, no special equipment, no helmets(unless you value your melon) and 15 bucks. For roadcourse and drifting bring your helmet.
