Right now I am planning on 30 people, I have seen commitments for aroung 25 to show up. The RX8 guys are looking like there will be about 5-6 plus the guys on the RX7 owners. I'll make a final count on Thursday and be sure we have enough food for that many people plus 10%.

ive got plates and stuff for about 40 people so let me know if i need to get more, please, Bert.

as steve might be able to tell you i have already went to the GRR this past saturday. i got confuzzled and drove out this past saturday. maybe i was just anxious to see you guys and be around some rotaries that actually run.

also does it seem wierd to you guys that we can start a thread and already be past the 100th post, while still maintaining our "Saturdays in Raleigh" thread too.

Hey, can i get some phone numbers? Like Smoken' and GTUser? I'll be cruising up by myself and just wanted some numbers in case anything happened, or if i get lost trying to get from my hotel to GRR. I'd like to go to GRR from Smoken's house if there is going to be a few people going from there. Smoken-can you pm me with your address, I'll get a mapquest map to get from my hotel to your place. Thanks

Mike

haha, Halo 2 is a long awaited Xbox game. There's no way to get it in stores, it's on back order already! I'm not that excited since I don't have an Xbox, but it is going to be once awsome game. Anyway, i got a room at LaQueinta supposably it's really close to smoken's house. My Cell is 1(812)838-5456, call anytime if you wanna chill in the hotel!

Done. How are we going to do the back country drives? Will we have directions, follow signs, or have maps?

JOSH - 40 should be about right. I'm expecting 30+ a couple and will make all the final purchases on Thrusday night. I'll post a final count of those committed to the rally on Thursday and we should plan for an additional 10% just to be sure we have enough food.

Ryan, You're good for the ice and drinks? You've been kinda quiet lately. Whatcha doing?

Should be getting the directional signs in the next couple of days.

Those bringing someone

If anyone is bringing someone along with them, wives, girlfriends, a fellow rotary owner who's ride is broke, etc. be sure and let me know so that I can include them in the head count. Don't want to come up short on food by overlooking the quests.

Lee has said he will bringing his wife or a girlfriend, I asked him not to bring both, and Ryan said he might be bringing the banana girl or the lady FD owner, and I do beleive that Josh mentioned be might have someone sharing his Fiero. Please confirm, and others, let me know by the end of the day on Wednesday if y'all are bringing friends.

I think we have everything covered but I appreciate the offer. Looking forward to this rally and getting as many owners and cars together as we can. Did you find anyone to drive up with from that area?

tiffany is not gone, she is just resting peacefully on life support. You and Steve can bring her back. In fact a lot of us might be interested in helping with the rebuild just to get the experience and gain some knowledge for our next rebuild. Any chance you're thinking of doing it yursef? I remember Rick advocating the rebuild of the engine and turbos at the same time to insure the new unit doesn't cause problems with the other. Was this the car you were gonna use for VIR driving?

That was a good one about your wife being good with kids, I'm sure Josh will appreciate some help. Should we plans some games to keep his date entertained, jacks, hopscotch, jump rope? Should I bring a Barbie doll for a door prize?

Oh, what do I need to do to get the GRR signs to put up?

Yes, door prizes are a requirement, they don't have to be expensive, just useful to other rotary owners. I'm taking a final count today and will be getting the food and preparing for the GRR tomorrow. Did you get anything worked out for Friday night?

i hope my door prize comes in. i ordered it and have the tracking # but the time draws near and it still hasnt arrived.

johny, i have to give you credit the wife being good with kids thing was funny. it made me laugh aloud at work.

Bert, i will have a date with me, so, please, put two people down for me. i may be there a little later than 2PM though, but not by much maybe a half hour. i suppose that's the price of bringing a female along.

Added one to the commit count for you. We'll try not to say anything to her that will embarass you or her. I am also waiting on some things for door prizes but finally got one delivered yesterday.

It looks like preparing for 40 was a good decision. I don't think we'll have that many but we'll probably break 35 with the additional guests.

Johny will be bringing down the directional signs to Dave's place and I will pick them up tomorrow. And we'll order shirts for all that want to get one at the Rally. We'll also have the finished logo there for everyone to see.

Final Head Count For Grr

I have attached the head count list for the commitments already made and those still in a maybe status. I need everyone to review this list and let me know what changes, if any, need to be made to your status.

I can still add people to the commitment list whether you're able to commit to the event or are adding guests. I'll check the thread tonight before finishing up the food purchases. We will plan for 10% extra but that is all we will budget for. So let me know if your status needs to be changed or added to the list.
