I just checked the thread for the first time in weeks... like a lot of people, I had no idea when the thing would actually go through so I forgot about it.

We finally worked out the payment details and sent in the order today. Good news for everyone is that we just barely meet the 20 order requirement for the price break. I will process the refunds tonight.

A couple individuals underpaid...

MadTownRX-7: owes $5 - $10 refund = $5 refund

This GB is closed to new participants. If you want to start another GB for datalogits you are welcome to start an interest thread.

 

I know it's tedious, but I bet you'd get more people actually plunking down money to buy if you mass PM'd everyone on the interest list as soon as the group buy officially starts. I completely forgot about the group buy and only got in on it at the last minute.

 

Not tedious, but time consuming. I don't think it's asking too much for someone to check up on a thread once within a 2 week window.

Nevertheless, if it were me I would still PM everybody at least once-- all my successful salesmen friends tell me that many sales take up 5 'calls' and not following up enough can limit sales performance. And clearly you have a higher chance of closing the sale and making money on a group buy than a one-off sales inquiry for some random part that the buyer is not likely to actually follow through on.

Obviously it's your call though and I wish you best of luck.

 

A mass PM wouldn't take much time, you just take the list of interested people, copy/paste them into the recipient line, then just go through quickly and add a comma between each person... Write up a quick reminder, send it to everyone with one click of the button ... you could even copy the list of people so if you had to do it again it would be even easier... Just an idea, but you are right, the people who are really interested will usually check back, but I had honestly forgotten about it completely for awhile!

Also, any idea on an ETA? i'm not in a hurry or anything, but I just moved and I think I may have given you guys my old address thinking I wouldn't be moving out so soon, just want to be able to know when to keep an eye on the old house for a new package ...
