Question GB Interest on Datalogits?

This GB is a go. See this post for payment information:

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php?p=6805849&postcount=145

Hey guys

I can secure a large supply of Datalogits (ie IN STOCK RIGHT NOW) w/o a problem, using the serial ports (my supplier is currently out of USB cables, although prob in a week or two they'll be back in stock). Wanted to know if anyone was interested in getting this GB going. It would be in the low $300s, price isn't set yet, but it's based on the # of orders. But the best news is, they would be delivered within days; no waiting, no backorders, nada (as I'm sure this has been a NOTORIOUS problem w/ getting Datalogits in a timely fashion). Lemme know what you guys think!

Feel free to get a list started...

Ramy,

if you can get it in USB I am in, I feel I could probably cancell my order with chris walk or swim to new zealand and get it quicker.

Ramy, why couldn't you have done this like 3 months ago?!

For those who don't know, you can get the Serial version and just get a serial to USB adapter and it will work just fine. This is an excellent price, and would recommend jumping on it even if your in the market for the USB version - trust me, making it USB compatible is extremely easy to do.

Keep up the good work Ramy!

What kind of time frame are we looking at. I'll be starting a new job soon so money might be a bit funny for a few weeks/month.

The serial plug is bulky and ponderous to use compared to a simple little USB plug when you're sitting inside the cramped interior of an FD with a laptop looking over data or making adjustments. Why add another connection when you can just go straight to the source? Ramy said that the USB version will be in stock soon, and probably by the time the actual GB finishes.

Just so everyone knows, as Noxlupus pointed out, the box is the same in both serial and USB models. The difference is that the USB model is supplied with a converter cable which has one serial end and one USB end. To get it separately, FC-DL charges $45 shipped for it. Theirs is the only one they support. Other types may work, but apparently it's hit or miss. Someone here on the board had one mess up about 8 months ago.

That said, I'm in if the price is right.
