Far east is quiet

Hey,
You guys all to cold to type lately?
Post up what you all have been up to lately.

Lets see....

I and Ragidash and some others will be going to Tsukuba TC1000 on the 23rd so that should be fun as long as it does not snow or rain. I will add this and some other dates to the events thread.

On the 28th (thursday) we will be going back out to Tsukuba to finally get some real runs in with the Red FC. That day is an Amuse track day and I hear they will be testing out there GTR R35 throughout the day. I hope they also bring out their S2000.

Hmm.... The snow has been a drag this year but I was able to go snowboarding 4 times last month which was great!

Thats about all I can think of as of recently.

So whats new fella's?

Russ did you get your tire fixed yet?

William no word on the bumper yet, the owner of the car has not responded.

Kenn
I was down in Yokosuka for the first time this weekend. I went to some Vietnamese Resturaunt down there by some mall near the bay and rt. 16. I would have let you know but I thought we were going to Yokota area not Yokosuka. Yokosuka is not all that far but man those tolls sure add up. maybe I will take Rt 16 the whole way next time???

Myles
you gonna come by the shop this week on wednesday?

No.

It's still inflated but I need a new tyre has a sidewall bulge. I just haven't been arsed.

Since I lost 600,000 in salary then a month without, I have been fighting to get back to a point where I can enjoy things again.

Damn bankrupt companies.

i need 1x neova Tyre
And front shock absorbers. the bushes on the bottom are stuffed. ( dangerous like )

So I am going to upgrade and get rid of the kei office Tsuchiya crap I have now.

But that takes cash. Of which none is saved...

Grrr

What happened Russ? Did you hit something?

Atleast your having fun, i have no money, no front bumper and a heap of debt in Australia waiting to be paid off, Im so depressed today Its really only been a week of searching for a bumper for me, but its really starting to get to me. Ive thought about purchasing a new MS bumper but its just too much considering it will then need paint and fitment.

Tom - thanks mate, im keeping my hopes up. Plus i check yahoo auctions and rx7club 5 times a day.

Hey all, sounds like everyones having a wonderful time with there cars . I wont say anything about mine because that will jinx me, and there has to be at least one FD thats being driven.

Yeah I cant wait to get on the track, I had a few 3rd gear runs on the highway the otherday but im still scared to really get hauling because I havent driven the car enough to know how it reacts.

Tom - Ill see how the weather goes on wednesday (meant to be snowing again), if its not too bad ill give you a ring in the afternoon.

Im really keen to get driving in the mountains, but im scared its going to be ice/snow on the majority of places to go around kanto? How long does everything think till its warm enough to drive in the hills witout risk of snow/ice realted hazards?

Our area should be decent to drive in the next month Myles.

Tsukuba and Chichibu mountains don't get all that cold and are not all that high of elevation. Nikko, and further north wont be ready to drive until april or may.
I am not sure about Hakone but most likely Kenn Chan can chime in about that. Or anyone else that goes to the Hakone area.

I just ran over a metal thing on the road.
Went right through the tire. Luckily the other guys helped me out with a punc repair kit at daikoku.
But now it needs replacing. I wouldn't like to drive hard on it or do any small drifts. thats for sure.

Money is the key. That's for sure.
My car doesn't need much. But I want some savings too.

Don't let it get to you. I haven't really driven mine for a year. It's waiting to be unleashed.

Russ.

nothing wrong with used suspension if you know what kind you want and the seller says it is not junk. A lot of the cheap stuff on yahoo is either low end models like Tein HA or JIC or other crap, or it is listed on their as blown or junk, but you could by two blown sets really cheap and make one good set!

I think you are thinking to far ahead of yourself though hahha. You still have a bumper and a fender to replace lol.

Yahoo auctions.

A lot of Coil overs require servicing. So after 15000 klms or so they need a bit of cash spending on them

You really have to know what you're after.

I do know and i haven't bought anything. They are all pretty expensive in the end.

By the time you buy them and service them you are better off with new stuff.

I can sell the fender for 10,000. I still have to go out back and take it off and then I will give it a wash, claybar, and then a wax before I send it your way.
Not sure what shipping will be but I can send it to you COD same as last time.

not cheap, well take your time taking the fender off, i want some pictures of it first before i commit though, as i really dont want something that is faded or is going to be noticable with a paint job. Im really fussy, but i just want my FD to be perfect again.
