metal wheel wells (repalacing plastic liners)
never have been a fan of the big holes in the engine bay that are the wheel wells, i know there is a plastic liner but its just not enough for me.
welded new metal in both of the holes.
and then a little grinding and prep work for paint and this is what u end up with

this isnt a sticky, i just posted it cause i figured some people would be interested in seeing it.
First thanks for the nice comment, its appreciated.
And second, it serves both purposes, it looks way better then having plastic liners there, and it is very rigid. just as solid if not more then the rest of the engine bay. turned out more solid then i was expecting, all i used was .004 or .005 thick steel.

Another owner tackled this project as well. Might as well consolidate for reference. Very nice work, btw.

I like this idea, when done properly it looks like it was done from factory. Does this have any impact on wheel fitment allowing more offset? Doesn't look like it, but just curious.
