i was thinking of ideas on how to create the exhaust manifold flange for my FD. i was thinking of multi-beveled flange for where the exhaust pipe meets the flange. this is just an idea, tell me what you think. i am looking for contrsuctive critisism here.

 

 

Been done. The bevels allow for better weld penetration. So does running a welder large enough to do the job. I don't think the benefits will be worth the time to machine the inner bevel. The surface bevel would be easy to do with a grinder and allow a large fillet...
