Need bolt size info

Hey Everyone,

I'm finally going to do some work on my rex again, its been a long time coming. I really wanne get the rear suspention back together good. For this I need to replace the bolt that goes through the toe illim bushing. The original bushing is fused to my old bolts

But I have no idea what size and type they are. Does someone have info about that? So thread size, bolt lenght and bolt strenght. I'm going to haarlem later today and they have a store there that has just about every bolt ever made in the world so if I know this before then, I should be able to sort this one out

Bring the bolt to the store or use an acetylen torch to heat thje bushing and then beat the living snot out of the bolt.
I had the same problem(and a torch)

Ok, I got the bolt now, no way I can get the leftover of the bushing off, it almost seems to be part of the bolt..

I'll be taking it to the bolt shop soon and get two fresh new bolts... Now all I need to do is find out how I can remove the metal insert thats part of the old bushings.

Also, does someone have a link to the picture that shows which way around the toe-illim bushings are supposed to go on?

Well,

I took the bolt to Schous.. The guy checked the bolt out, tried a dozen different nuts to see if he could figure out the thread type. According to him its closest to 9/16th but not exact so he was totally mistified by it..

Problem was though, they just cleaned up last year and got rid of a lot of their oldest inventory of bolts that never got sold and where just collecting dust, including the lenght I needed for my bolt

So only way left seems to be getting a new one from mazda...$$$$..

What a looser... If he had ANY knowledge he wouldn't try nuts to figure the bolt size. There are very usefull tools for that. You can easily see what thread type a bolt is, and diameter. And such a "tool" isn't all that expensive: I got mine at Techno-Classica for just a few euro's (4 or 5 if I remember correct), and that's for a good quality, metric + english.
Oh, and btw: 9/16th seems VERY doubtfull: I don't believe there are any non-metric bolts in our cars.

RE, he first tried to measure it but couldn't figure it out somehow.. Might need to mention that the bushing is fused to the damn thing

Awell I just ordered one from mazda already, hope they can deliver quickly....

I made alot of progress tonight. I took my right side appart and behold, that bolt got out in once piece! Yeah no fused bushings) I also was able to get the axle removed on that side, this will allow me to remove the hub so I can fix it (I still have the bolts that hold on the caliper bracket fused in there and I need the access to get my new bushings in )
The only thing that stopped me from competing my work on the right side is that the top part wont come loose, one of the inserts seems to be banged in to deep and gets stuck.. Need to figure that one out next time..

The left side is giving me loads of problems though, the axle wont come out there......

On a totally different subjects, I need the passenger side mounting bit (the bit with the rubber inbetween), mine is unusable. Mireck, any chance you can source that from your car?
