Moving UK -> Hamburg Germany
Hello!
I am relocating and want to bring my RX7 FD with me to Germany at any cost (Hamburg specifically)
I am struggling to find a company that can organise getting the car registered with a TUV test though
does anybody have any contacts they can recommend in Germany to help (any area is fine)
Cheers Paul

I just wanted to make sure that I conform with all of the proper procedures bringing the car over so that things don't go wrong.
getting the car over from japan to the uk was a mission on its own.
I don't have any experience with what is involved regarding a TÜV either.

As for the TUV test and registration hurdles, I'm afraid I don't have direct contacts, but have you considered checking with local car enthusiasts or online forums in Hamburg? They might have some solid recommendations! And who knows, maybe a man with van could work some magic – you know what they say, what a man with van can do! Good luck with the move and the car paperwork!
I Suppose I should update this thread!
I successfully moved to Hamburg with my Rx7.
It was the most laborious task I have ever undertaken and I can say although it was worth it it was not a cheap transfer.
The transport was organised by a co pany called Heaunique and they did a fantastic job. They also appointed me a customs agent to organise things at the border for the car. In my particular case I brought the car over as a Personal item as i was moving permanently. This resulted in quite a lot of extra paperwork and resulted in a 3 day delay at the border in southern Hamburg due to there not being a senior officer to sign the paperwork and the driver could not even leave the site! (Sorry 🥲
Once customs cleared the car it stayed at my address for a while as I sorted out all of the items that it needed to have changed in order to go through a TüV this included:
-New wheels + tyres
-New suspension
-New exhaust
-Fog swapped to other side
-Paperwork for the red side lights from LBV Nord
-Paperwork for the stock brake calipers fitted LBV Nord
-New front light conversion with Emark
-Euro compliant downpipe modification for emissions levels. As a 99 year car it does not have an OBD2 port however still gets tested to the newer parameters.
Most of this was sorted by Christian and his team at Underground Racing.
I can not express enough how brilliant this business was, Christian was extremely helpful and undertook a lot of extra responsibility for some of these things without any expectations! Thanks guys!!
All being said I was pretty determined to not be beaten by the system. It's not simple but it is definitely possible to have what you want, you just have to be prepared to put your hand in your pocket and end up flat broke like me 😂.
Thanks to everyone who commented and added great advice. It's very much appreciated 👍
Happy to answer any questions, hopefully I can pass on what I have learnt if there is someone else in need.
