Moving to Germany
It seems that I will be spending a little while in Germany for the next few years. in regards to this change I've sold my rx-7 stateside but will be looking for one when i reach Germany.
I've heard lots about importers, and wondered if anyone had any information pertaining to the matter. If not that, then the best way of obtaining a FD while in the country.
Thanks,
Jay

Everything is possible, its just question of money/time and if its worth it in the end.
Military guys (not sure if that applies to you) seems to have no problems to import/register anything, as they have little different rules for registrations than the ones which are normal in country. Germany is not so bad when it comes to importing, they could have even RHD cars from japan on the roads...

import your own rx7 to germany. its cheaper and easier than to get one in germany.
rx7 are rare and expensive here and FD`s are rarer than all other rx7.
i think there are only 100-150 in germany.
a good 92-93 stock FD with low kilometers costs 15 000 - over 20 000 euro.
from japan imported FD`s are litle bit cheaper but the steering wheel is on the wrong side...
its easier to register a US spec car than an Japan sepec car
where to germany do you want to move??

If you're moving to the Kaiserslautern area there are a few car importers that can get you a JDM 7, I had a few friends when I was there driving skylines and silvias that they imported but they are pretty expensive. The one guy that I knew that had a 99 paid about 27000 euro.
