HEY RICE.
I CAN'T REMEMBER ANYONE GIVING YOU A HARD TIME ABOUT LIKING AUTRONIC ECU'S.PEOPLE ARE ONLY GIVING YOU A HARD TIME BACK AFTER YOU TELL THE WORLD HOW BAD YOU THINK MICROTECH ARE!
NONE OF THESE GUYS HAVE SAID A BAD WORD ABOUT AUTRONIC AND HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF RESPECT FOR THE PRODUCT HOWEVER YOU SEEM TO HAVE MADE A MISSION FOR YOURSELF TO ABUSE AND SLANDER ANYONE WHO USES OR HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH MICROTECH ECU'S.
I HAVE PERSONALLY FITTED AND TUNED MICROTECH,AUTRONIC,MOTEC,WOLF,EMS AND HALTECH COMPUTERS TO MANY OF MY CUSTOMERS CARS AND COULD SAFELY SAY THAT I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE WITH AFTERMARKET ECU'S THAN 95% OF PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM.I HAVE SEEN ALL THE GOOD & BAD POINTS WITH ALL OF THESE SYSTEMS BUT DON'T NEED TO GET ON HERE AND BAD MOUTH THE ONES I DON'T LIKE.
A GUY WITH AN SM2 AUTRONIC HAD A POST ON HERE RECENTLY WANTING HELP WITH HIS COMPUTER AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD OFFER ANY MAPS FOR HIM..................AND I'M A MICROTECH DEALER FOR F#*K'S SAKE.
PAUL MURRAYS CAR SHOULD BE LOOKED UPON AS AN AWESOME EFFORT NOT BECAUSE HE'S RUNNING AN AUTRONIC BUT BECAUSE OF HIS OBVIOUS KNOW HOW IN GETTING HUGE POWER OUT OF A 13B ENGINE AND GETTING IT DOWN THE TRACK IN A SMALL TYRED CAR!!!
BUT FOR YOU THIS MUST NOT MEAN MUCH....DRAG RACING IS NOT WHAT YOU USE TO JUDGE HOW GOOD A CERTAIN ECU IS.
IF THIS IS REALLY THE CASE THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU START THIS THREAD????????

ditto ! Same from me too.

Once agian, congrats to Paul and JPC for an excellent result. Makes me feel good having a high profile (in drag racing) rotary earning respect for an ECU that is not normaly associated with rotaries ... makes me feel like I am not such a "freak" in my own country

Oh and rxeng, I did help the guy with tech for the SM2 (and still am) & please for the love of god, turn of your F$%cking CAPS LOCK KEY !!!!!

Just because he comes to this forum(Rice)
you think he is Pro?
I bet you think ReTed is a Pro too right
I'm sorry ted is knowledgeable but no way a Pro

Ohio? haha what would you know who is who eh
Plz

You can be all the "keyboard" racer you want
IT IS AT THE TRACK WHERE YOU PROVE YOUR SKILLS
as in any sport not just drag racing

There are 1000's of rotary mechanics out there in the World.
But Few Sir put there skill's to the Test
where it counts
Who I am has no relevance. Of course I am a nobody, just like you. Then again who determines who is "somebody" and who isn't? Surely not you Kabooski, with your cocky "I know people, since I live in Orlando with crispeed" attitude. Is crispeed "somebody"? You seem to think so since you are his little reporter . Are you implying that because someone is from a certain location (Ohio in this case), they can't hang with the "big dawgs" . Sorry I can't be a part of your elite society there in Orlando :p. Would it hold any weight towards this arguement that I have NEVER seen crispeed disagree with one of Peter's findings? Would it hold any weight if I told you that his 13B PP car is making more power than crispeed's with NO NITROUS? So because he does not drag race he is a nobody, LOL. Nice logic.

Putting their skills to the test where it counts, huh? Peter may or may not be an skilled racer in the competitions he competes in, I don't know. But how does that correlate with his engine building, tuning, and fabrications? It doesn't . The numbers are there, and there is nothing you can argue.

Please don't assume things. I never implied that RETed was or was not a pro, so don't bring his name into this. I'm defending Peter, because he has gone out of his way to help me in many cases. By my definitions he IS a pro. His experience and results are un-desputable... classify him as you wish.

He has been saying that all along if you recall. He probably started the thread because of all those argueing otherwise. In other words X drag car ran Y time with a Microtech, so it MUST be good . He stated otherwise all along.

Peter, to quote a friend : "Do not argue with ignorant people. They will bring you down to their level, and overwhelm you with their experience."

Oh come on now
Let's see Rice name one customer car
that has gotton head lines?

Running at the track not a indicator of ur tunning, fabricating skills?

Answer me this
What is more important in *any* Field
"Theory" or "Real World"

Is Chris Anderson known yes!
He has been featured in plenty of articles, mags and Online
He was even the cover story on a Australian Site

More HP then Chris?
again in theory
Let's see a Dyno
Let's see a Time Slip

Chris runs 9.2
on a full chassis untubbed FC
Let's see Rice beat that! he cant!

But really I dont want to bash Rice
That is not my intention at all
I have nothing against him

I'm just trying to make a point
and I needed Rice as a example

I'm saying that
one can make ALL THE CLAIMS in the World
but if you have no "proof' then it is of very little value
(in this case I'm discussing racing)

With Pro Racers you earn respect
no ons gives it to you

Getting back to the whole ECU thing that I started
No one here has cliamed the Microtech was the Best

No one has said the Autronic ECU where inferior to Microtech or any other ECU

Like Greg,Anthony, Tim etc
Have said even Matt

The ECU is only as good as it's tuner

In the grand scheme of things, Australia is (was) a fair way behind the rest of the world when it comes to drag racing. Anthony was a pioneer and was the quickest in the country for quite a few years, so he has the runs on the board.

Its only in the past 6 months that Australia has had consistent 7 second runners and in the next 12 months this number will increase ten fold. However, when it comes to the best, PR is where it starts and ends. What ECU do most of these guys run? Haltech

But, in the OVERALL big picture, our ECUs have no match when it comes to Magnetti Marelli (sp?) and other such systems. Realistically, it comes down to money and no one in the drag game wants to spend $20000USD+ on an ECU...

Some of the best metal fabricators don't even touch automobiles...
They build airplanes.

It's relative.&nbsp Some of the BEST KNOWN SCIENTISTS are theorist.&nbsp You might've heard of this chap called "Albert Einstein"?

Never heard of him...

With Pro Racers you earn respect

Going fast only gets you the respect from people who THINK that's important.&nbsp It's always the racer who wins the races and puts up the "big" numbers that gets all the fame.&nbsp Some of the BEST EFI tuners are not even known...why?&nbsp They tune the F1 cars - do you know their names?&nbsp I doubt you do.&nbsp These are probably the top 1%-tiles of EFI tuners in the WORLD.

This I-go-fast-there-I-earn-respect crap is getting out hand.&nbsp The people who know their **** knows who else knows their **** and who is blowing BS out their ***.&nbsp You don't have to go fast to know ****.&nbsp Almost ANYONE can tune a car to run at WOT; you're basically tuning a 2D map where load follows a pre-determined point.&nbsp Wide-band and EGT's get you the rest.&nbsp A knock sensor help for ignition tuning.&nbsp That's it - big deal.&nbsp Again, the people who know their **** knows this also.

Since I never got an apology from you, I might as well throw in my 2&#162...

I was going to post a response kabooski, but you are not worth it. Peter's PP HAS been dynoed countless times, BTW. I'll let him wait until he is ready to release the info on his setup.

Have you folks ever watched a really boring movie, hoping that it would get better? You know, the type that has lots of childish insults and bad acting, but absolutely no worthwhile content? Well... thread closed.
