Haha, FC's would drift a TON better if the front roll center wasn't 6" below the ground...

I never said 4x4 drifting was the solution. Obviously lowered cars look better, to an extent. The problem is just slamming them as much as possible without knowing how it will effect the driving dynamics of the car without being able to properly correct them.

So then that begs the question what would be and optimal ride height front/rear?

i agree... being low and all is cool but its not very practical. i sit about 1.5in lower from stock height during events then slam it back again when done.

for me 1.0-2.0in lower from stock height. it all depends on feeling really. also my car squats pretty ****** hard thats the reason why i have mine kinda high

yah, because someone makes them... (no one does).

i'm looking into prototyping roll center correction sometime this summer. got hooked up with a guy that build trophy truck suspension, hes just kinda busy. if we can throw something together that works well on my car, we'll be selling them. i'm guessing something like $120 for a set. but dont hold your breath, i dunno how long its gonna take.

basically the ideal setup is to have everything level. your axles shouldnt look like this "V" they should be flat. same with your front LCA, and tie rods. when the car is at that height (close to stock) everything feels easier to work with.

but with that said.

MEN DONT GIVE A ****............................ tuck rim, smoke tires. break ****, repair it <- repeat.

Being low is for performance, being slammed is for looks. I raised my car up a little bit to try it out but it absolutely doesn't look as cool as before.
this gets *****. ^

well if you can be slammed, but your car drifts a bit less shitty, why not? just lessens the sacrifice you all make for hawtness.

i'm building them for my (grip) car, but it works for both applications.

Haha!

Actually, we made custom suspension so that our customer's e-production road race FC could run super low with decent geometry (modded spindles, new control arms, modded rear, etc). You guys can drive/drift/show your cars however you want, just wanted everyone to understand the consequences for doing such. If everybody already did, then cool.

OP knows I'm not just some jerk-off **** talking, he's seen the car I'm referring to..

i'm just giving you a hard time. this whole forum is nothing but people stepping into sub forums - drifting for example, and having the urge to open threads, and bust out their dong showing how much they know and shutting everyone down being an *******. the way you posted was out of line. obviously. if you don't have anything nice/beneficial to contribute to the growing of this thread/sub-forum, then please don't bother wasting our time with your posts.

this isn't a **** fight. everyones just trying to hangout, and have fun.

yes, i'm pretty sure we all know that you can alter just about anything to correct for ride height by moving pick up points, and making tons of custom, one off, high dollar mods to your car.

we all want to spend minimal money, have fun, get laid, and again, have fun.
