the modified knuckles is using the tie rod pick up to match the S13 tire rod ends. this alone shouldn't change the angle either but if you move the pick up backward (closer to the spindle) it will then cause the knuckle to have to turn farther to match the distance traveled by the rack left or right.
this is far more effort then it's worth unless your a fabricator with a welder and free time.

the kit allows the rack to move farther from side to side. virtually the same effect as stated earlier.

Im on a Manual Rack and have 18x9.5 -27 up front and the input is very sensitive even with great alignment.

I would say u need tie rod ends and low offsets to clear ****.
Negative camber will help fit the lower offset and help keep the camber from additional positive camber due to the mad steering angle.
That could cause excessive tire wear in a Dd. whats great about my angle when i bust a bitch
