Any luck finding out if the S13 tapered bolt fit the stock location?

Which piece did you end up cutting to fit?

Thanks,

Andrew

Anyone else tried this with the stock point drilled? Id like to see a pic of the gained angle.

I also feel this to be archive worthy.

You don't gain angle from tie rod ends, especially in the stock location. It's the modification of the knuckles that changes the angle. The ends are just alot more durable and "feel" better.

Your right. After thinking a lil more thoroughly I realized that was a dumb question. You'll have to forgive me though as I've never really fucked with suspension this in depth. Until recently I've always just been about straight line speed.

You can gain angle from them if you space the rod ends down a bit... granted it won't be much -BUT anything on a FC helps.

BTW several events on these and they have worked flawlessly!

I run PS, I have done a few events without it and it sucks.

The ZG flare ordeal is quite a bit of work... some people love them and some people hate them... either way good luck, take your time and do them right. It can go wrong VERY quickly and there is no going back! Also you need big ******* wheels or big ******* spacers... the flares are 50mm, in the pics above I'm running 15x8 +6 all around with a 50mm spacer in the rear and about 15mm in the front (really should have been 25mm) so have a set of dope wheels ready to go, or measure out the spacing you'll need to go with and order spacers or the car will look dumb... all in the flares were expensive and labor intensive. I do all my own work but If you don't I can EASILY see these things costing over $1000 installed... cutting, welding, shaping, test fitting, ect, ect I spent prob 20-30 hours labor on them, granted the second time around I could prob knock them out in 1 day now that I know all the tricks.

The labor of the install doesn't worry me. I can weld and what, so that's not that big a deal. I just didn't realize they were that much of a flare! Dayum! Well, ok nevermind, maybe I won't. I'm not big on wide spacers and don't wanna buy baller wheels for a car that's only about seat time at this point. Thanks for the info though. I would've hated to have gotten myself too deep into THAT ordeal.

You can always trim the flares back a bit

Just going to take a good eye so you don't screw up the arches

i'm workign on the ZG flares and thinking up some bumpsteer kits myself. the bumpsteer kit doesn't add angle. it just returns a lowered car to a more factory designed geometry.

as for the flares the only problem i have is the gap between the front flare and the fender on the top. I may just cut the flare and add more fiberglass for better fitment.

Modded FC spindles. The only 240 part is the tie rod end which would maybe be a issue with the factory pick up point, but he has a different pick up point for the spindle.

last night i was retarted. i saw the thread title, and assumed the "spindles" were s13 **** too, but remembered that s chassis **** is all rear mount rack, so i'm a dumbass..

its cool as ****, that you made an alternative for us all, dont get me wrong, i'm not knocking it. i like it! but.... why didnt you just run supernow tierod ends? theyre adjustable, and i bought mine used a year ago, and before that my friend ran them for 3 years, theyre still cherry.

i can see the price being cheaper, but adjustability, and quality wise, satoru, and supernow is top notch ****. i paid $50 for them, and new i can see people not wanting them because $330 is pretty ridiculous especially when you kick in shipping too... my friend has the mazdatrix ones which litterally fell apart just about....
