PowerSteering...

okay so my new car has a PS rack, PO removed the pump and everything and installed a single main pulley. i heard FD's use single pulleys, anyone confirm? if this is true would i be able to use a FD pump with my FC PS bracket? what would be required to maintain the single pulley + PS? craps giving me a headache

I guess he's talking about the idler pulley which you could probably delete if you bought a smaller belt.

both the fd and fc have seprate pulleys for the ps and ac. you just need to take the ps pulley itself and bolt it to your new crank pulley.(hopefully it will fit) changing it to a multi rib belt like an fd, or your new pulley set up will be a pain, with no gain...

from the pic it looks like the previous owner converted it to a ribbed belt so what u need to do is just find original FC pullies and put everything back and u will be fine. the original pullies are just v-belts.

Well, if nobody helps you, go to your local hardware store. Bring your fittings for the ps rack with you. Start reaching into those nuts and bolts trays and thread **** on. You'll find the right pitch. I've had to do this ALOT.
