peripheral port?

I am wondering who has had a p port 13b in their drift car? I am thinking about p porting an s5 na 13b then putting a turbo on it too. has anyone had any good luck/knowledge/whatever with this?

Ive been looking around and there isnt much information on peripheral porting and engine. anybody have any good useful links?

over kill son.

big turbo, decently sized street port - full bridge will get you 500.
REW keg
Cosmo Keg
s4/s5 TII keg

you're going to spend $2k on 2 housings?

I can do it myself. just want to mess with it. wonder if I use a t4 or something if the throttle response would be quick. I dont need 800 hp to drift. 300 with throttle response is good enough for now. I figure it would be pretty easy with a pport. im not going to just power. I think it would be fun messing with it.

also thinking of doing carbs. I wonder how much power a pported na with carbs would get me. and response would be there I think.

Easier/cheaper to get a stock-ported turbo motor to 300. You don't see many people with peri-ports. And for good reason.

In regards to P-PORT info there is/was?? a thread with lots of detail on how to make your own housings, its in one of the other sections,i cant remember.

If you only looking for 300 dont even bother with PPORTS. A drift car is allready somewhat a high maintinance affair, let alone a Pport motor.

Im not sure what your expirience is with this style of motor, but apex seals take a beating even on the some of the better final finished housings, this is just the nature of the beast, this is why they require frequent tear downs & inspection,Im speaking from a road race perspective/Drag is totally different.

But it does sound like an interesting deal,I do like the carbed idea ,purely for its simplicity.....

Is there anymore detailed info /pics on the PPT above (fuel set up)specifically.

Also wanted to add PP requires carbon or ceramic apex seals, and if the tune is not up to par bye bye ceramics, hello paper weights....

Carbon seals now become a wear item, motor will loose compression over time, but usually when/if they $H!T the bed, they will disentergrate somewhat & not screw your irons & housings.Sometimes

cheers man mine is abit diferant from the rest as most fc's are turbo my fc is well as far as i know the only street/track car with a pp in it the others are full on track cars.
in nz you realy see a un ported motor with the older cars every man and his dog has a bridge port 13b or 12a in there rx2 rx3 rx4 s1 rx7. s4,5,6,7,8 all are turbo very rear case you see one pop up that some one has gone with a n/a motor.

we just like our cars very very low and loud lol hence why i had a pp built
