just picked a nice round number.

25mm..

with my front wheels/tires being 205-50 17x8.5 -6, i just barely clear everything probably by 3mm. i am planning on moving to a 215 45 though so should give me a slightly bigger contact patch and that much more room for clearance around the fender.

im running bmagic 30mm front fenders and i had to trim the back inner lip of the fender. the top of the tire sidewall rubs the fender now. this is with my camber at 3.5* before this mod, probably closer to 4.5-5* camber now.


this is with no spacers. front track is now wider than the rear though. might have to run spacers in back just to make it look normal again for the people that like to stare at cars.

i know.. but he just bolted on an extension i dont remember if thats how stock is havent looked at my car in over a month but doesnt look safe

huh? where did i "just bolt on an extension"? im not even running wheel spacers.

i remember welding a couple of ball joints.

but youre right.. its probably way way way way way unsafe and i would not recommend it to anyone.

especially you guys that cut and weld your spindles with a harbor freight 110v mig.

s5 control arms are solid aluminum with pressed in balljoints not like the s4's with the bolt on ball joint is what im getting at
