Autoautority....circa 92.....awww yes. Brings back some memories. Had my first "blow" on the dyno making those chips....
You will never guess who was the "test bunny" for those chips.
I had some very special chips that were burned first.....
Good chips for a mild street setup. Dyno pulls were very respectable..esp for the era.
Keep the chips unless your going stand alone.

Hope it helps.

Do you know where I could find out what the chips do? Like a website or something? I know one is a FCD but I don't know what the other one is for. I'm thinking it might be set up for something I don't have, maybe a bigger turbo or something I don't know, and that's why my car is running like ****. Can't find anyone with a stock ecu to test it out though...

Please bear with me, it was a long time ago that I participated in the test/tuning for those chips.
The Company I worked with was initally called RPM motorsports (Kevin was one of the owners) They were located in the Maine I believe. Then they branched off and became G-force engineering. I think they went to Cali after that. I lost touch with them after the dust settled with my rebuild.

I spun the rollers at Autoauthority ( I think they were in Virginia area) They were/are a Porche/BMW tuner and they had me down for a few dfferent chips.

Stage 1 was a FCD and very mild tune to go with near stock setup.

The 2nd set of chips were to go with "Stage 2" using the HKS intake and a hi-flow exhaust that RPM had put together. Looking at my dyno sheet, stage 2 was good for about 305hp with the FCD and a re-tune, 10lbs of boost if I recall.

Stage 3 was a hybrid stock sized turbo and the intake and exhaust. The stock fuel system was used, which is why this chip was later de-tuned from where my chips were going. Rear seal didn't like all the boost and went out to lunch. The numbers were impressive up until that point. I think the actual stage 3 chip was only slightly better then stage 2 and I am not sure how many were sold.

I don't have much more info regarding contact info or part numbers that would tell you what chip you have. I would see if you can get your hands on a stock ECU and see if your car still has issues. If so, then you know its not the chips, and when you get it running better, you will have some better maps.

Hope it helps,

So something bad happened... Car has no power and there's really bad sounds coming from the back of my car. Guessing my diff took a ****. Driving it with no front diff mount probably didn't help it...

Sooo I decided to take it off the road for a while Going to take the time to fix everything and build it right rather then always breaking **** and dealing with shitty parts. Going to try to pick up another n/a FC or maybe an '86 to **** around with while I build this.

Started dropping the subframe tonight. Once it's out I'm going to check the damage to the diff, paint the subframe, and clean up a bunch of ****.

Opened the diff back up.

Was happy to see that all the gears and everything were fine. Just shredded up one of my shims a bit and one of the thrust(?) washers. Going to build it the right time this time with Mazdatrix parts.

Also started cleaning the subframe to get it ready for paint. Trying to decide if I want to do black or something fancy.

At least my brake pads are good though!

Pulled my efi harness out. Going go through it and get rid of all the crap I don't need and then try to tuck it. Want to do the other harnesses too and do one of those fancy relay panels in my dash. I have no idea how to do any of this so if anyone wants to send me a link to a how to that'd be awesome, otherwise I'm just going to wing it.

Finally got motivation to work on the car again. Got the harness finished up and fired the car up and it actually works! Decided to say **** it, I'm just going to weld the diff. tired of dealing with it Bringing my subframe up the my buddy's shop Tuesday to get the axles off cause I don't have an impact and those bitches are on there. Then I'm going to put my dtss eliminators in and get the subframe prepped to go back in.

Start my new job next week so I should be ordering a bushing kit, diff mount, brake pads, and a few other little things in the next couple weeks so I can get the car back on the ground.

Then the fun stuff like coils and wheels. New ecu too probably since I'm pretty sure that's what's causing the car to run like poop.

Also picked two of these guys up off my buddy for $22. XXR 962's. They're 17x7 +38. Figured they wouldn't look to bad up front with some spacers, or I'll probably just use them as drifty spares. Couldn't beat the price!

Couple pics of the wiring. Just a few finishing touches left. Pretty stoked with how it came out. I decided to hold off on the chassis harness until my buddy can help me that has done a few. I did tuck it the best I could and cut off some wires that weren't being used.

Still need to drill a hole behind the motor in the tranny tunnel or something to run the EFI harness into the car, don't like it coming in the side.

This was a mess of wires before when the harness wrapped around the TB. Looks WAY better now.

This is one of the spots I have left to finish. Just got to extend a few wires, I'm going to mount the fuse block behind the headlight so it's not really noticeable, but still easy to get to if I need to.... oh and I'm going to take care of the e-fan wire too.

Cleaned up the rear knuckles, getting the dtss and new wheel bearings in tomorrow. Also cleaned up the subframe and painted it because it was starting to get some surface rust.

One of these days I'm going to invest in a camera...

Got the subframe together and ready to go in. Fresh paint, DTSS elims, new wheel bearings, new front diff mount, and rebuilt axles. New rotors and pads going on too.\\

Hopefully this thing will be on the road by tomorrow!

Back on the road! The car runs perfect now, I'm pretty sure I fixed a bad connection when I went through the harness and I also added a battery cable size ground from the motor to the chassis. Idles steady at 750 and I finally got rid of the hesitation that has been tormenting me since I got the swap done.... Found out I need a clutch though and a throw out bearing or pilot bearing, which one is it when it makes noise when the clutch is engaged? I always get them confused.

nice clean work, its going to be much more enjoyable and easier to work on with everything cleaned and painted and wiring simplified,if it makes a noise when you apply pressure to the clutch pedal its likely the t/o bearing, course you have to pull the trans to replace so do clutch and pp if theres any significant wear

Finally got some wheels that actually match, old school 16x8.5 ACT's and a healthy dose of low on BC coils.

Nice! Looks super good. Digging the wheels, totally thought they were Crown Vic's at first.

Thanks guys! And the pics with the all silver meshies up front are crown vics. That's what I was looking for and got 2 cheap and was looking for 2 more when my buddy said he was selling the ACT's. Got the full set super cheap and they're x8.5 instead of x7 like the vics.

Also, picking up paint in a couple weeks and getting started on body work! Luckily the body is pretty straight though.

Small update. Finally going to paint my car! This is my first time doing body work so I'm taking it superrrrr slow and it seems to be coming out good so far. We'll see how it looks when the paint goes on. Can't wait!
