Pulled my ecu apart today and it has 2 chips from Autoauthority. I did a search and didn't find much info. From what I read it sounds like one of them is a fuel cut defender. Could the chips be why my car is running like ****? Maybe programmed for bigger injectors or something? They were installed 11/21/92 so they're old school as ****!

Picked up 2 Sparcos for $200. Used one and hooked my friend up with the other. Need to find a way to mount it. It's just sitting there in the pics.

Finally had the time and money to get some stuff done. Bought some 3 inch pipe and picked up and old Apexi(I think) muffler off my friend. So now I have exhaust which was wayyyyy over do. Maybe my neighbors won't hate me as much now.

Also picked up an old Greddy intercooler off my buddy for $50. It's got some battle wounds but couldn't beat it for the price.

Updated engine bay shot.

It's so nice to have a front mount now so I can finally put my hood on and not have to worry about being caught in the rain haha. Especially since it rains almost every day in Florida this time of year...

Diff wasn't locking for **** so I pulled it out and shimmed it. Then sanded it down and and sprayed it black.

This build is so ghetto but props on doing all your work. I remember doing my swaps, but man, you must be a lucky SOB. Running the car with no hood for longer than a day? Running a car without all the proper senders/sensors? Not having confidence in the way the motor is wired?

All that would drive me INSANE. I couldn't handle driving the car incomplete (to me) like that. Especially driving it hard (getting into boost/into redline).

Not hating, just admiring. Good luck with the build, looking forward to updates.

Cheers!

Hahahaha it's all good man. Trust me it does kind of suck driving it like this but it's whatever. I still have a blast in it. People hate on me sometimes but they have 30k into there car and I got 3k in to mine and have just as much fun!

It actually has all the sensors and **** it needs. The only things that aren't there are emissions , BaC, ACv, and a couple other things. I would like to get a BAC to help the idle out but I can live with it for now. Surprisingly the car ran great without a hood. Stayed cool, I'm sure the intake temps were a bit higher then ideal but I drove it for 6 months that way without any problems.

I'm slowly getting away from the ghetto ****, I really took my time on the diff and I've been going through the car fixing a lot of little things. Once I get a job it will start getting a lot nicer

10 mins with a diff that actually locks and I plow sideways into a curb. One bent/ cracked FD rim and the wheel has less camber then before haha. It looks like just bent the shock. Good times. Car still drives fin and kept sliding after it happened and it did great! Amazing how much a working LSD helps.

As far as the diff goes I used two .02 mm spacers out of a old n/a lsd I had laying around. I had to trim them a little to fit but I think it is definitely better then the brake cleaner shims I kept reading about. So all together it .04 mm in spacers. I get a LITTLE bit of churrping when I'm going really slow but not nearly as bad as a welded and it does work anywhere above like 5 mph. Anyone else that want's to do this could prolly get away with .3 mm in spacers if they don't want the churping but I'm happy with it, I'd rather know it's gonna stay locked.

Buckey, I got them from one of my friends, he bought them for his VW but they were to small for him. They expired in like '05 but it doesn't matter in any of the events I'll be doing for now.

Zenki, That's nothing I've had 3 bikes back there and my friend sitting in one of the buckets

Started paint finally. Here's a shitty cell phone pic. I really need to get my camera cord back so I can upload better pics.... Anywaysss

I was going to only pull the harness out to the front and leave it where the dash is and just paint up to it. Now that I started taking it out though I'm thinking of pulling the whole thing out and simplifying it. I have so many plugs that don't go anywhere. Is it worth it in you guy's opinion?

Alright so the interior is just about done. Just Got to cut a piece of the driver floor board and weld in a patch panel 'cause I got some rust.

My buddy Jordan, aka 1fc3slide was "helping" by being in charge of the camera the first night.

Gross

Lot's of dry ice and scraping...

Went through the whole car with a wire wheel after the dry ice. Then cleaned it with wd40 and sprayed it. Pretty stoked on how it came out.

Better pics tomorrow when I have day light.

nice, good deals guy. I managed to trade my stock (and slightly ripped) drivers seat for a corbeau forza straight trade. out of date but I don't do events yet. my brother gave my an rb header and presilencer for free and I bought my torn apart t2 engine from him for $100 and its in good condition. just need turbo, intercooler and piping for it and the rebuild. my na is beast reliable though at 150k mi, and beat on.

I need to go from red to black on my base model. I wanted to keep the sound deadening but I think ima have to take that **** out to paint. guess I can put some aftermarket sound deadening in after. its a daily/drift and I have a single exit exhaust on na so I want deadening in.lol. might try some more mat or something to quiet it that way I can take it out for drift sessions.

anyway, props on the work. I have to be a bit ghetto myself but I don't have a lot of connections with parts for sale.lol.

Nice man! Cars don't have to be expensive. You just gotta be patient and you can build it on the cheap and still used good parts. I used to be super ghetto but I'm getting away from it. So much better to stuff right the first time rather then have to redo it over and over again. It's tough when your on a budget sometimes though. I'll let you know if it's really any louder without the sound deadning. My car was load already so I doubt it's gonna make a difference.

So I dropped the tranny today in attempt to take it apart and figure out what was jammed out. Had no fawking clue what I was doing. Somehow managed to fix it though and it's going back in tomorrow and then I'm gonna go beat the **** out of my car.

Here's my office complete with assistant.

I coulda sold you my extra one I had taking up space, because those looks frustrating!! Nice build, this has been pretty helpful because Im putting an S5 TII motor into my S4 TII car. Also on a ghetto budget.... but Im pretty sure it wouldnt be as interesting if I had the funds to just have it done... Well done my friend
