Metal widebody fenders.

As much as I'm trying to stay with stock metal fenders, there's no way I can retain my ride height and wheel size with the knuckles I'm planning on running. So I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go with wider fenders.

However, I really don't want to go with fiberglass. I'm going to destroy them and I hate fiberglass work.

So, I'd like to build/widen my fenders about 30mm to accomodate my knuckles. Haven't seen anybody do it yet, and I've done some searching around. Anybody have anything they want to share?
