Buckey's Pro-Am Build: '87 Mazda RX7 TurboII
i was thinking of sliding a pipe over them and welding, but seems like me being a bad fabricator ill get them uneven or something.
i was thinking of getting more steering rack spacers but that also seems sketchy.
longer tie rods would be sick, but theyre hard to find, and the sti ones are pricey. plus i would have to redo too much before this first event. might try to do it before XDC irwindale
really scared to do everything and for it to suck...

I can't find the ones that Steve has (Mazdatrix?), but these move the tie rod out further. You already run a pair of these? Double them up like Lovely Idol.
I think I've seen the Mazdatix units posted somewhere on here before, but I can't find them on the website.
hey *** they were water jetted same as my (gay) gusstes. lol there's rotors and **** in them.
real talk though idgaf. this car needs a gt wing. i really wanna cut it and extend it but i already know it's going to get ripped off on the fence.
shine auto wing is coming. i just need $1k.

finished both fenders for the most part today. set the front ride height. this things are amazing. cant wait to prime them and see them.
Glass guy came out and got the old window out in 5mins with some Sawzall and a stoney metal spatula device attached to it. at first i thought he was going to cut the window out then saw the specialty tool. whew....

they front fenders are essentially 105mm wide now. i have a bolt-on 50mm spacer with the 17x9.5 +12 TE37s which = -38 effective offset.

my car still rubs everything at angle now. i really need to figure out how much angle i have, because if it's not as much as i'm thinking and i'm hitting all this crap i'm going to be pissed....
brake caliper bolt is like .00005 from bottoming out on LCA/balljoint but the neovas hit first in the front, and the rear. i raised my car 1.5" up front to get clearance and it's hitting the tubs now. i'm going to skin some of tub where it's hitting, and try to relocate my Leading Coil off the wheel well on the left side.

Or JTP's?

lol just messing around though. they were last minute. the brackets were quick. they look like real **** without the bumper on. they were $20 at autozone, and no ***** will be given when i walk back in to replace them after demolishing them hahahaha
I think I've only seen one pic of fabbed ones on an FC. It's on my PC somewhere I'll try to find it. Why doesn't any company offer them? Not even like Ikeya Formula or some other JDM *** ****.
Wow haha. If the thousands of rx7 stuff pics on my computer (seriously like 20,000 pics) I found that super fast and easy.
This is Charles Ng's (originally Mike Essa's) FC. You can see the LCA that is on there.

you obviously don't understand the theory of rack spacers and how running 2 stacked isn't going to do anything more than 1. except move the pivot point out towards the wheel further which won't give you any benefits..
I wouldn't suggest anyone doing this.

I guess Essa and Ng use it on track so it must be safe enough. If I made LCAs they probably wouldn't be like that though.
Can you further explain the theory or rack spacers. I know I have only one pair on my car but I have heard of other people running them stacked.

pretty sure those lower control arms broke though, he's had them re-done since then or maybe even went back to stock..
1 rack spacer has a provision to extend rack travel to the "extended" stop.. stacking two isn't going to give you more rack travel.. which is what gives you more angle..

the spacer is actually just that little part pointed out in red. the fatter part bottoms out on the rack and thats how it stops at lock. adding a second spacer does nothing for angle since the rack is still being stopped by the fat part from the first spacer.
