CA Megan Street Coilovers Question

has anyone on here bought these? i just did and installed them, they work fine except for the fact that the bolts and nuts holding the camber plates are hella smaller then the factory. they actually move around in the factory bolt holes. is this how they were suppose to come? i'm thinking about swpping my Cusco camber plates over just for reassurance that i don't have anymore un-planned for suspension movement.

You posted the solution to your problem. Too bad you only have 30 minutes to edit posts.....

As long as the nuts are larger than the holes i dont see a problem running either plate. Hey, it's your ****. Whatever floats your boat i guess.

that's not much of a good answer though. use your old 100 dollar stuff on your new 1100 dollar stuff. i would hope that the new expensive stuff is better then the old cheap stuff. plus that's not even the question, the question is if anyone else has these (megan's coilovers) and has the same problem

You know how much r&d they do on their stuff?

Not much. Not much at all. No, you're not the only one with **** not fitting as it should...... They have terrible QC and R&D. All their parts are a little "off" from time to time. Why? Made in china. made in taiwan. Knock off parts to turn a quick buck.....

That's why you pay extra for cusco, tein, silkroad......etc......

$1100 sounds like **** rape for megan coils.....

Well, if all 4 studs fit in all 4 holes then you're good.

I'm just telling you what's up with megan racing and how what you're experiencing, regardless of how petty, is normal.

Their email/customer service sucks too btw. I tried to send them a product suggestion and got some b/s automated fail **** in return.

You can have the studs pressed out and press in new larger ones. I've done it before on a customers car.

i thought about doing that as well but don't remember how much metal is left around the studs. either way, using my old camber plates or just installing new studs, is lame! you'd think $1,110 would get you something that fit correctly, the first time.

Their quality has improved a lot in the past two years. I sell a lot of their products and have had no issues with customer cars.
