Make on LSD and gearing

Hi. Does anyone know what brand this LSD is? Been told its a 2 way.

Id also like to know how mant teht there are on the crown/pinion on stock gears?

No that im very sure of.. But I really didnt understand what sil8ty meant.. Since fds have torsen.

ohhh^^ he's talking about the OEM clutch type diffs that are found in Fc Tii's. I actually have one in my fd right now. They drop in perfectly, but i'll be pulling it out in favor of a carbonetic 2 way =-)

OK. Is there anyway to possitivly identify it as that? They any good?

And the gears?

yeah looks like a stock clutch type. na and t2 had them. t2 seems to be better. also clutch type are s4. I believe all s5 lsd were viscous. no idea on teht.

All i know is that the stock clutch type tii lsd's were a bit stronger than the n/a's.. please correct me if i'm wrong. They're stronger than the oem fd torsen units and suite track abuse a bit better.

So I tried to find some pics on the net of fc-diffs.. Everyone ive found had a smaller hole between the big ones on the side of the casing. this one hasnt ?

that's a stock TII FC diff.

Mazda Rx7 13B 6PI 86-88 Clutch Type (GXL, GTU)
Mazda Rx7 13B Turbo 87-88 Clutch Type (Turbo II)
Mazda Rx7 13B 6PI 89-92 Viscous Type (GTUs)
Mazda Rx7 13B Turbo 89-92 Viscous Type (Turbo II)

TII and FD are 8" and can interchange.

N/A are 7" and do not.

FD diff is torsen.

IIRC 8" diffs also work in RX8s.
