From a?? FD:s got torsen right?
Thats not a torsen unit...
No that im very sure of.. But I really didnt understand what sil8ty meant.. Since fds have torsen.
ohhh^^ he's talking about the OEM clutch type diffs that are found in Fc Tii's. I actually have one in my fd right now. They drop in perfectly, but i'll be pulling it out in favor of a carbonetic 2 way =-)
OK. Is there anyway to possitivly identify it as that? They any good?
And the gears? |
yeah looks like a stock clutch type. na and t2 had them. t2 seems to be better. also clutch type are s4. I believe all s5 lsd were viscous. no idea on teht.
All i know is that the stock clutch type tii lsd's were a bit stronger than the n/a's.. please correct me if i'm wrong. They're stronger than the oem fd torsen units and suite track abuse a bit better.
thanks for the answers guys..

So I tried to find some pics on the net of fc-diffs.. Everyone ive found had a smaller hole between the big ones on the side of the casing. this one hasnt ?
that's a stock TII FC diff.
Mazda Rx7 13B 6PI 86-88 Clutch Type (GXL, GTU) Mazda Rx7 13B Turbo 87-88 Clutch Type (Turbo II) Mazda Rx7 13B 6PI 89-92 Viscous Type (GTUs) Mazda Rx7 13B Turbo 89-92 Viscous Type (Turbo II) TII and FD are 8" and can interchange. N/A are 7" and do not. FD diff is torsen. |
IIRC 8" diffs also work in RX8s.
