Longest E-Brake entry?

Just started playing with this the other night just adding more tools to the tool box.

How long have you guys maintained straight line drift using only the ebrake before corner entry. I was practicing and can get a 50+ foot entry before a corner eaasily now. Its pretty fun but tire torture. I was able to get to the corner a couple times from over 100 feet away. Good stuff.

What I'm talking about is clutch in, gear for corner already selected and modulating/holding the ebrake with counter steer. The car oddly tracks a straight line like this if done right. It took a couple tries to get use to it but its fun just to see what you can get away with before a corner without causing a spin when you switch back to the motor and drift the corner.

I didn't have much luck staying near lock then switching to the motor. The wheel spin was just too much to keep from spinning. i have stock steering knuckles and to slide this far on the ebrake takes a decent amount of speed 40-60mph depending on the surface.

Just wondering if anyone else has messed with this technique. Try it is a fun alternative to manji before corner entry. not sure how useful it is but I just like everything about driving so ill try anything once. hell thats how drifting started anyways!

Ya I should have mentioned that up to 90 degree turns. Basically the car rolls diagonal like drifting but in a straight line.

I need knuckles now for the technical stuff i'm getting bored. Stock knuckles are SOOOOO FAIL!

when doing this, i use it for looooong feints. like approach corner in 3rd. ebrake feint right.. hold hold hold hold hold.. ebrake out power on slide left. probably easy 100' slide when approaching at 90mph.

if you get nuts with clutch drops you can do it suppperrr long.

ebrake slides work best when you feint in super hard to keep the cars momentum traveling in a straight trajectory. where as if you just pull it, you'll either have shallow angle and kinda make it work, or have shallow - semi deep angle, and shoot into the corner early.

pumping ebrake is the one!

Thats eactly what I'm talking about on that video! Hell ya super long entries. So fun to do dring with a ebrake and a steering wheel. Ya I tried pumping it a little didn't work out great for my car but it could just be my car. Mine worked better to hold for a bit then let off pressure then hold for a bit again. kinda like pumping I guess but really long on before off.

Anyways its fun that's all I'm saying glad to see everyones knows how fun it can be. If you haven't messed with it yet you should.
