CA Independent Rear Camber Adjuster Question

I have a question for people running the INDEPENDENT RCA's. Have any of you run into problems running them with poly bushings? The reason i ask is because MMR says you can't run their RCA's with poly trailing arm bushings inserted, only their solid kit. But at the same time, it doesn't say anything about the factory rubber bushings, just the poly

Stock or bearings. All others could cause binding in the rear suspension if the car is too low.

how would it bind it? i don't understand because MMR is the only company i've seen post this. is it just the way they design theirs? because Mazdatrix doesn't mention anything about binding problems

It's pretty easy to understand actually, the camber link adjusts camber by rotating the whole trailing arm. There's a bolt that goes through a bushing on the opposite side of the trailing arm. When you twist the arm to remove camber it causes the bushing around the bolt to twist and bind. Stock bushings have enough flex where this won't cause a huge problem but a delrin bushing has very little flex. You would need to cut off and reclock that bushing mount on the arm to correct the problem the right way.

i get it now sorta. but if the mount is solid like they recommend, how do you get it to twist? or does trailing arm just spin around the solid bushing freely?

he understands how it work with stock bushings... how would it work with a solid bushing? wouldnt the fact that there is zero flex cause even more problems then a derlin bushing?

The solid bushing is actually a spherical bearing inside a carrier that mates it to the hole in the trailing arm, so it can move wherever it needs to while preventing any slop.

How much camber can you take out of the rear with these things? If you have your car pretty low can you get the camber to like -.5-1 range?

The individual links combined with the upright camber link give you a ton of range.
