Well I got a 88 N/A, and I drift the hell outta it its kinda hard cause you got less power but you still got plenty to do what you want to do your just not gonna make huge drift smoke and look like a pro haha. First I noticed you said no air pump so i dont know if you have your 5th and 6th ports working, I would make sure they work cause thats your top end power, and also get a drift **** for your ebrake 15 bucks on ebay or cusco makes a good one for 30, and tighten the ebrake up a little so it locks the wheels fully and a lot faster. They go get ahold of two cones and practice doing a circle, bigger circle, then a figure 8 and change the distance between the conces further and closer changing the size of the figure 8. And dont drift on the streets illegal street drifting is a nasty ticket, although the rain is fun but have fun be safe. Check out your local tracks I dont know where you live but here in arizona our tracks have drift events every few months and its fun to go spin out and learn on a track.

Drifting can get expensive, and can be VERY hard on the car. Kind of the reason why I got out of it. Basic stuff I started with, small circles, practiced controlled 180's and then went to Dori dori after a while. Learned how to feel the car out. You just gotta learn your own style.

Yep. You're pretty much set as it is. Rwd is a must. Everything else is a bonus. Go out there and get silly in a place you're not going to screw your car up WHEN you make a mistake. Dont go out to the mountains/backroads by yourself "practicing". Trees kill.

Grip racing isn't as hard on the car as sliding it is. Wheel bearings tend to wear prematurly due to the abnormal loads placed on them. Obviously tire wear is up. lol. But things like clutchs, transmissions were an obvious problem for me and my Nissan back in the day. Also, IMO you'll need to perform more general maintence on the vehicle. I'd keep the oil changes to about 1500 miles or so if you are going to drive her that much harder( Just my prefrence, my 240 sees them every 2k Just because. ) As for expense, Auto X is CHEAP, so much cheaper then drift for me. Mainly because the only place local to me for drifting options ( Now that is legal options of course) Is about two hours away. And local Auto X is about 10 minutes to 40 minutes out. So if there is a local event in your area more power to ya. I can't afford to break down that far from home. Thus why my Fc isn't my daily. Anyway when you get rolling save yourself 200 bucks and buy yourself a Go-pro HD on car camera and shoot some footage of you on the track.

hey yea its true but i believe tracking is really pretty hard for the car and also driving style comes into play, I am a really Aggressive driver and i beat the **** out of my Car like you wouldnt imagine lol at times holding it at Max RPM for like 10 11 sec maxing the car.. car heating up really badly at points my over flow over flowed lol.... The only thing is i Dont Auto X, i only did that once.. i Go to real tracks that are 2km to 4km long, so the entrance is kinda expensive (MUCH MUCH MUCH more then auto X fee's) i drive min an hour thirty min lol closest track from my place.. so yea its kinda stressful.. Beating a Car for a whole day.. and then driving home for long period of time LOL!.

I will be taking Videos Next year this year is my first year, i want to get some more experience and next year thats when competition will start, so ill need a camera.
