coilover questions
hey this is my 2nd year drifting
i drifted stock last year and ya...it was a bitch
so im looking at getting a cheap pair of coilovers for this year
yes i kno you get what you pay for i was just wondering if anyone has ever herd of ground control coilover, also as far as spring rate and such what am i exactly looking for, any help would be much appriciated ty

i was allready looking at them, i dont have a grand on me at the moment
like i would have the money in time for the season but...id rather have money just incase god decides to spite me and something else breaks

Then save your cash. Your just going to have to upgrade again if you go GC. Really depends on how far/good you want to get. GC will only be slightly better then stock. (if urs arnt blown) and cost is up there as well for new. Unfortunately 1K is entry level. Once your skill improves your equipment needs to be upgraded. No way around that if you want to keep up. I say spend it on track time and tires until you can go at least entry lever coils. Maybe try finding some used ones.

i live in pittsburgh we have pot wholes so big u literaly cannot avoid them so low is kinda meh
and i honestly plan on getting a whole new fc by the end of this year which is another reason y im not completly set on spending 1 grand on coilovers now. i fully understand that il need to upgrade them but does any1 have any reviews on them and again with the spring rates plz

You could see to import HSD'd from the UK.. they are awesome, but im not sure about the cost on us shipping etc.. my bet is it will be too expensive, but thought I'd throw it out there.

i have Megan Street Series. 8kg front 6kg rear. they are a little over a G but worth the money, great entry level coilovers i think. not the greatest in the world but they get the job done. my only real complaint with them is that the bolts that connect them to the chassis are smaller then the factory so there is play in the strut tower when the bolts are loose. hopefully when they are completely tight they aren't moving around lol.
