I like it. Def start saving for some baller wheels to pull it all together.

I have no room to talk (yet....i vow to change wheels atleast once a year until i get some **** i'm happy with) but i agree that baller wheels>mediocre budget wheels>stock when you have a paint that pops like that.

do body work first.

Grind the metal, hammer it as straight as you can, then fill, then block it even.

Then to prep for paint you just sand the whole car by hand starting 320 dry then 400 wet to 800 wet to 1000 wet..

i would hit it with 600 wet... keep it wet cuz it cuts down more. use a hard block to keep from getting finger impressions, and do an X pattern going over each pass.

some primer's you dont sand, so if you get it smooth then prime and just shoot over it.

I met a couple guys from here http://www.autobody101.com/forums/ at SEMA a few years ago and they seem to have a good group of both professional and "at-home" painters and have a fair amount of info on equipment, processes, etc from begining stripping down to the final buff/wax. Unlike other paint/body "forums" or sites its not "or at least wasnt) just a marketting tool for someone selling something.

read the tech sheet for the paint you will use you will get ton of advice on what to do but the manufacturer knows best personally i would never sand up to 1000 grit because i have never seen a tech sheet call for such a high grit. i just recently used some dupont primer and it said to wet sand with 400 grit then apply top coat.

some tips- clear coat and single stage paints are super sticky i suggest wearing cloths that cover up all your skin or you will have stiff eye lashes and arm hair. don't use bondo branded products they really do suck and takes forever to sand down.

Just took a pic of mine outside finally.. was messing with HDR but thats what the paint color looks like in the sun I like it

IMG_8132_0_1_tonemappedresized.jpg?

Might just have to keep the wheels that color, matches perfectly with carbon in the sun..

Gonna lower it 1/2 ionch in the rear and an inch in the front and add a little camber I think..
