Group Leaders...
Following people are Group Leaders for DGRR 2006.
If you want to volunteer, please post here and let me know what kind of experience you have. Volunteer will wake up early saturday morning (7AM) and run at least twice thru Deals Gap to get the feel of the road. They will also plan with other Group Leader (GL) to plan the day and lead the group in safe manner. If you don't have a 2 way radio, please let me know. I will try to provide one for each GL but will help if you could bring one.
1. PureMdMa (if his FD is ready) - last year's leader
2. AbadR1 (2002 Z06) - attended last year and will lead non rotaries
3. SPICcnmGT (1993 R1) - several years experience in track and autoX
4. White87FC - (FC) - last years attendee and regular Deals Gap runner.
5. Alucard-7 - (FD) - last years attendee and one crazy driver!

I'll volunteer to lead the Raleigh group, since I'll be staying with them anyway. I grew up in Maryville, TN. Plus I go home to visit my parents several times a year (ya know I only visit just to drive the roads). I always drive the dragon several times per visit. I was with you guys last year too.
I'll be damned if I'm following Jason!!!!! J/K, he knows the gap as well or better than most people and would make a great group leader. At least this year I'll get to chase you in the Turbo instead of the 'Vert!

herblenny....first time rx7 owner looking forward to this dragon tail.event...excited is the word that im looking for....getting reservations at fantana coming friday...whats the best route from indianapolis ind larry rx789conv tks
i cuold be a alternate leader for non rotaries (1998 t/a) or even for some rotaries.. IM going this weekend (march 26) to scout things out, taking plenty of tape to film it as well so by the meet i will have had at least a days worth of running the gap up and down a couple of times.. and i have a radio..
Phil, you know if you need any help I am more than willing to do whatever. To tell you the truth, I am more than willing to help the event go smooth for everyone and make sure eveything goes well than I am concerned with running the GAP. I am taking this **** seriously, and I am disappointed that I missed you on Saturday!!!
Let me know if you need anything. I know I haven't been before, but that does not mean I cannot help do an event coordination.
As always in the past, you can count on me.

Well, its looking like I wont have my car done. Various issues on waiting for parts have delayed the completion of the car. I dont think it would be proper to be a leader in a non rotary vehicle so id say I am reluctantly out for being a leader.

Sorry to hear that Jer...
Well, This is the plan.. Anyone interested in becoming a part of DGRR 2006 and FUTURE DGRR events, I'm going to have dinner/meeting at Sweetwater BBQ on Friday night. I think since the event will most likely to grow every year, we need volunteers who will help us in the future.
Unforunately, this has to be volunteer work. No one will get paid.. not even me.. DAMN!
So, if you could make it to Sweetwater BBQ, Friday night, April 7th, 2006 @ 7PM, that would be great!

I don't know if I can make it to Sweetwater BBQ. I will have to see how far away it is for me. I only made reservations for Saturday night at Fontana, but I will be there early on Saturday morning.
My friend and I are going to be there super early on sat morning, If you can perhaps pinpoint a time that you'll be coming thru, I'll certainly meet up with you guys or, maybe just tell me where you want me to meet you and give you a hand with whatever you need to set up the show area at the damn. Let me know, you can PM me or post here if you want my help. Otherwise I'm just going to be driving the Gap and then come to the damn around when its supposed to start. Thanks
Chris
