No offense intended, I just have a lot more experience in drag racing than auto-x. Just my 2 cents.

Had a great time Saturday! Phil.. Major props for organization along w/ the sponsors. I met alot of people and finally got to see alot of the forum members! Rick it was a pleasure to meet you. Talk to you soon. Why were u not at the dinner? The only thing I would change next year is my own lodging. I stayed at the family cabin 2 hours away. Next year I will get a room Friday and Saturday night at the village. I did not come back sunday due to a stomach illness (it sucked) Feel better tonight though. Finally. I wish more people would have attended the dinner. It seemed the weather broke things up a bit. It did not dampen our day though! I had my best run was w/ two white FC"s and a blue first gen. We were hitting pretty good. I had to pull off for a sec. because I got a bit warm sucking the FC's exhaust fumes. Cooled right back down though. The drive from Daytona was well worth it! Be there next year for sure!! Hopefully a few more of the Florida boys will actually make it up there! Again.. Thanks for a great time!! G

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
To be honest, I'm glad its OVER! I'm going to now try to get my Blk FD together and enjoy next few months not worrying about DGRR. I'll start planning for the next years event around Aug/Sept.
I would love to make the next years event the largest rotary gathering in the country! Well, at least east of Mississippi.
If you want to help, when time to buy T-shirts and such, please purchase it asap. That would help me by knowing approximately how many people will show.
Thanks everyone for coming out this year!

I think the full moon was awesome, but I really didn't get to see it.
Maybe there will be a full moon next year. Good way to light up the night.
Not sure chard liked the full moon though.
I'm still cracking up over that. Next time we need to saran wrap Reese to a tree.

I saw a tshirt at one of the shops that gave me an idea. Was one of those 318 turns 11 miles pics and they show the dragon like on one of the sites. Could have been the one we've used in some posts. Anyway, I was looking at it and thought, would be neat to cross out the 318 and write in "317 left, I wore one turn out." on it. I know, it's stupid but I'm claiming brain damage after all the fumes I breathed this weekend.

There was a full moon? That explains alot about the weekend...

I think we had a little too much fun. I can blame it on Miller Lite, I don't know what the other guys were on!
Maybe its something in the SC water?
Too bad I didn't get anyone as sexy as THE Redhead Rotorhead in the hot tub, just some blue haired Ryan Seacrest wanna-be!!
Man that was a good weekend.

DJ, you're just mad because not only did I get to hang out with the Redhead Rotorhead, I got to drive her car both Saturday and Sunday. Queso FTW!

As for the Ryan Seacrest thing...YOU'RE the one with the cute little faux-hawk. LOL.
Nothing in the water down here...I'm naturally like this. Scary, huh?
Ah, the light of the full moon. Did you guys know that when the full moon at the Gap shines on some of the cabins it has to stand on its toes to be seen through the windows?

Hmmm...Saran Wrap Reese to a tree. If that happens, I'll just call for help from my squirrel friend from the mountains. Oh, wait...Jonathan ran over him! Damn, I'm screwed. Heh heh.

Rawr.Yes, Reese is definitely a spaz.
But it's funny, cuz I didn't think anyone had the same amount of energy that I did. It's SO cool to find my older fraternal twin.
Something in the water? It must be Carolina water. As for saran wrapping Reese to a tree... Never fear! Super Stina is here!
We'll just melt it off with some exhaust flames. LOLAnd yes, I will probably be staying at Fontana Village next year... I do believe our whole group is talking about doing that instead of staying way up in Robbinsville. It was fun this year, but next year, it would be cool to be closer to everyone else.
