Oh hell no!!!! But that would be a five fold increase over the number of eights we had last year! Damn, now that I think about it we'll have 4 from the RRDI group anyway?!?!?!

Just found this thread, sorry:
1. Not all RX-8 owners are dicks. The Florida RX-8 Club (FLRX8CLUB.net) are almost all performance oriented enthusiasts, love all rotaries, and wave.
2. Last year's BOTD ran the dragon for several days. By Saturday, we broke into 3 groups: those that wanted to run the Dragon again, those that wanted to run the Skyway (which included me since I hadn't done this yet and it was a hoot - high speed sweepers), and those that wanted to do something else (horseback riding) which was mostly significant others, kids, etc. We had one RX-7 join us that I know of... a Montego Blue 3rd gen.
3. Though I'm known as a 3rd gen guy, I'll be running my RX-8 at this event, so please count me as such.
4. When is everyone showing up and leaving? I've heard:
a. this is a Saturday-only event
or
b. most people are arriving mid-day Friday
or
c. many will be there Thursday afternoon
or
d. everyone is leaving Sunday morning
or
e. most people are staying Sunday night
So, what's the scoop? I've got a cabin from Thursday night through Sunday night, but if no one is ariving that soon, I'll join up with the caravans ariving Friday and leave on Sunday.

We'll have 2 Eights and 4 Sevens coming up from Raleigh on Thursday. A couple of us will be putting up signs and flyers, the rest running the Gap on Friday. Friday we'll have two more caravans coming in from Raleigh with 2 or 3 more Eights and who knows how many Sevens. All the guys (and gals) with RX-8's in our group are great people, glad to have them along. Most people are coming up Friday mid-late afternoon to early evening and meeting in Robbinsville for dinner from 7-9pm. The main meet is Saturday, meet at the dam then drive the Dragon and Sunday is drive the Skyway then you're on your own.

I'll probably be leaving out from area around 5:30AM on Saturday morning. It takes me about 4 hours to get there from here. I'll probably be leaving late Saturday night. As much as I'd like to stay til Sunday, I have a 2 year old who has Mono and even though he doesn't act real sick my wife won't be coming with me so I hate to leave her at home by herself with him and my 9 week old son. If anything changes, I'll stay Saturday night probably in Sweetwater, TN. Can't wait to get there

Let me explain what your looking at. A unamed person who will be at Gap this year was installing a greddy sp2 system onto my RX8 when all of a sudden he became pinned under my 8. With claustaphobia kicking in fast I did what any good friend would do. I took this picture. lol enjoy!
