Quick Summary of Deals Gap Event?

I looked at the website but it's kind of incomplete. I've never attended and would consider towing my FD from FL to make it.

How many FDs will be there and what are the highlights or high level info? Race, picture taking, dinners I'm sure? Thanks!

If you register for the site, then login. Mouse over the "Event Info" tab at the top of the page and look at the "who's coming 2015" list. It tells where people are coming from, and the break down of cars coming by generation and series.

Would it be the end of the world if one were to miss Thursday and Sunday?
looks like they are the intro and exit days and kind of slow.

Yea, you're not missing anything other than an extra night of parting Thursday night. Sunday is really more just a turn in your room key and head home thing.

Thursday - Arrive, drive a bit and start drinking.
Friday - Get up for the skyway drive, ogle cars at the lodge, do some dragon runs, eat lunch, start drinking.
Saturday - Get up early to watch and laugh at folks prepping for car show, go to car show, maybe do some drives, eat lunch, start drinking.
Sunday - Stop drinking and leave.

*registers*

Oddly enough, I'm only going to hang out. I don't like driving on tarmac and I'm acrophobic, so I'll probably just hang out and BS with people who I've known online but never met in person despite being an online rotor head for like 16 years.

Guys Thursday at 7 is the home opener at the Asheville tourists game at mcormick field across from the orange peel theater.

It also is thirsty thursday with 1 dollar beers! Would you guys like to go? This was my first real job out of college in 2007 and it's pretty incredible that I happen to be flying into town on opening day!

Is anyone else interested in meeting there to do the thirsty thursday drinking thing?
Dont want to take anyone away from anything planned on thursday night or also get you drinking far away from your living quarters but throwing it out there, that's where I'll be.

Snook, I could be down to meet up with you to watch the ball game on Thursday. I live in Asheville, drive a flawless 94', and haven't decided if I'm going out to deals gap or not. BTW, don't park in the main lower parking lot at the ball game. Park in the upper lot behind right / center field. That lower lot gets foul ***** that sometimes find their way to sheet metal & glass. PM me if you wanna.

*oh I just saw that you were flying in, so I'm assuming rental car,,,,? Park anywhere you please

DGRR is the best event IMO, I don't even go for cars anymore, honestly I really enjoy the company I've been around and met the past few years. That alone makes it worth if for me.

With that said, I'll be stay at the microtel again this year! If anyone needs some guidance or just want to tag along find me and ill be more then willing to help as it can be a little "rough" for first timers as things aren't exactly close and can get hectic!

Heres my take of last years event:

^ My father in law and I are also at the Microtel so let's hook up. I haven't gotten approval yet from the RX8Club to sell the Exedy clutch with proceeds going to you, so I will bring it along and try to sell it there. If not, we are going to give you the clutch to take back with you and sell it.
