Who is leaving the Atlanta area to go to DGRR 2019 on Wednesday, May 1st? Usually we caravan from the Walmart in Buford, GA (Exit 4 off of I-985) on Thursday after lunch each year.

Is there any interest in leaving on Wednesday this year, and meet a little further up off of I-985 at EXIT 16 at Lanier Raceplex. There are places to eat and fuel up off Exit 16, but we could stage the caravan at Lanier Raceplex to then do our usual stop at the Walmart in Rabun, GA. The raceplex would not be open to Karting at that time. You could see the facility and may want to stop to Kart on the drive back on Sunday.

Holly, I'm sure us Bama boys will be in Atlanta for the annual Cho-Won lunch time special. The usual suspects and at least 1 new face to DGRR. Will the Florida group be attending on Wednesday also this time around? Would be a nice caravan

Some of the Fla guys (P-cola guys) are coming up early Thursday morning to make it the the lodge around 2-3pm.

Central Fla guys are coming up Wednesday and gonna stay overnight north of Atlanta.
Then head to the lodge in the morning.

If anyone want to ride up together just post up.

Thanks Steve. Sounds like you FL guys haven't added the extra day yet to your schedule. I know this is the first year that I'm suggesting to leave on Wednesday. I'll see y'all Thursday at the usual roll in time then.

It looks like all the FL guys will not be getting there until Thursday. So that still leaves the question, are there anyone who are going up on Wed?

 

The AL group will be there Wednesday as well as several from GA/Atl area. I believe at least some of the Middle TN peeps will be in attendance as well but I could be mistaken. I think some NC folks might roll in on Wednesday too but I'm not sure. We've met with some of them before in years past at NVNC when we started doing Wednesday arrival but I want to say they showed up early Thursday morning so some of us went to breakfast in Bryson City.

There's no telling who all is going to show up but I'm confident the caravan from Atlanta will be a good one. It usually always is.

 

Yeah, I think its difficult for some of us with vacation days and family.
Maybe next year we can come up a day earlier.

I'll see all who is leaving on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at Lanier Raceplex, 5301 Winder Highway, Braselton, GA. We will gather for caravan there, starting at Noon.

 

Lanier Raceplex will have a small sign up "DGRR" on the grounds for caravan to DGRR parking.

I'll see all those who show up there tomorrow afternoon. BTW, you can travel up the I-85 side to get to Lanier Raceplex, BUT it is under construction and has uneven pavement. It's best to use the directions I've posted above.
