FC Shifter

Several months ago we posted up a feeler on the forums for building a short shifter for the FC since Mazdaspeed Japan has discontinued theirs.

The shifter we have come up with uses the nylon slide for the pin to keep the shifting smooth like the stock/Mazdaspeed shifter.

With the new Mazda dust boot, nylon pivot/spring, and gaskets we would have a price of $190.

Comments? Concerns? Post away.

The shifter is out on the street running through the daily grind of shifting in a car still.

Currently we do not have a product picture to release for the public. I will see what I can do though.

Sounds like a good enough deal to me.

Did you model it after the mazdaspeed version? Just curious how short of a throw it is...

I would say the shifter closest to it would be an RE-Amemiya shifter. Ours uses a nylon insert though for smoother shifting. The throw is a good 35% shorter. It is a noticable difference.
