I won't let go
If you indicated how much it is to actually run this board, we might gain a better appreciation for what you do and perhaps get more $ thrown your way. Gotta put it into perspective for us man.
It's $2/mo for mine. And yes, I know this is much bigger with a huge load. So that's what I'm saying...throw us a friggin bone.

you get an exclusive forum and give us more features in it
like more pm space, bigger avatar maybe, and the ability to close our own threads.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, as much as you feel you can.
Now please answer my PM
But I'll offer you an explanation as to why most anyone who complains hasn't offered a thank you.
First would be that they're just a dick Second would be that whenever questions are asked......they're left idle. I'm not talking about obscure threads, we're talking about threads in the suggestions section where one would presume that a mod/admin/owner would frequent.
People then - with no relative or accurate information available - come to their own conclusions on the topic. So please don't try to demonize random people who are left in the dark for trying to come up with their own explanations for it.

Between rx7club and rx8club these servers handle over 1000 users regularly. Maybe Sanjay would like to give me a call when gets that many users.

I seriously doubt there are more than a handful of people in the World who could tell Bob ^^^ something he doesn't already know about admin'ing a large forum.

I think you guys should take a look at the model of how offtopic.com is operated. They regularly have 1000-2000 users online at any given time and the thing is as fast as ebay. They also offer subforums and special user priveliges that require subscription, and the majority of users choose to subscribe. It's about 3 bucks per month for that, and you can do the math. Such a subscription base could be used to control the lounge, and keep scammers out of the classifieds, not to mention raising tens of thousands of dollars per year for the forum.
I seriously feel sorry for you if you did in fact dip into your personal finances for this forum, and we should all thank you for what you have given us. But, on the other hand, it's no one's fault but your own that things are the way they are. Instead of screwing around with intellitext, ignoring contact about the forum and magazine, and then wondering why members question you, you could have been changing the forum layout for the better and probably putting money in your pocket doing it.
Thanks again for what you've given us and hopefully things can get on the right track. The forum seems to be responding a little better each day.

I mean that GenMay has an average of 500+ people, online, posting, at any given time (630 right now). It's one website with many, many members, and it hasn't had a glitch since '01. These two sites may have the same amout of traffic, but they also slow down and/or give DB errors enough to make people feel that they need to mention it to somebody.
Ease up on the big guy routine, inittab. God forbid someone tries to help out a little bit with a suggestion (in the suggestion forum at that (!) ). Sheesh.
