Suggestion: Thread Poll Views

To my knowledge when you create a thread you have two options:

1. To have it public meaning people can see who voted for which answer.

or

2. Have it private so no one can see who voted for which answer.

I believe there should be an option or way to make it so you can make it private in the sense that any viewers of the thread or people that voted can NOT see who voted for what, but the thread creator still can. This is especially effective in a group buy situation if the thread was started with an "Interest Poll" before going to GB.

Thoughts?

I did some reviewing of the options in the admin CP and there does not seem to be a way to select any option like that for the thread creator I can see.

There is however an easy way for an admin to see who voted for what. If you just request this information I am sure we can provide it for you in a timely manner.

I hope that helps,
DKJ

I asked a Mod that and he said he wasn't able to provide the info, if someone can who should I ask cause I would like to do that for one of my Group Buys.

You can ask an admin, moderators don't have that level of access.

I still think the option to only let the thread OP see who voted on the poll and not everyone else should still be discussed, but besides that I'm good. Thanks for all the help guys!

That would require the forum software to be hacked as it is not something that can be toggled on and off easily.

I doubt this will be enabled, unless it is implemented via VBulletin in the next version.

FWIW - I have added this to a suggestion list to the developers at Vbulletin.
