Not that I agree with the established rules. But in the admins defense, they had warned him a few times.
Take away the fact that he was a paying advertiser before the rate hikes. Simply based on the 2nd Generation technical CONTENT that he provided here (For FREE) that generates page hits that IB subsequently uses to charge advertisers...

IB should be so lucky to have folks like Kevin.

When they treat him like **** this is the least they should expect.

I have to agree that it would definitely be nice to see a rep in here from Internet Brands. If someone came on and said 'this was the offer we gave him, he refused, and we gave him a temp ban' at least we would hear their side. Then we could make our own decision.

I'm sure we would all like to see a way to contact them directly on this forum, not via email but an actual user on here. That's what I think anyway...

They are a big company you can't expect them to care about a bunch of people driving cars that are no longer being built?

We pay their bills, so I sure hope they check in from time to time...

They damn well better if the expect the forum to continue. We the users are essentially their investment which they made when they bought the forum. If we get sick of them and leave their investment does too.

The issue is not just what happened to Kevin, it is what has happened to the entire policy governing the classified section of this forum. I understand that they want to keep the conversation over PM, but this is something that the entire user base of this forum should know about, and have a say in.

I do not like the mentality this place so frequently has, which is along the lines of "Well if you don't like it, go **** yourself". The members of this forum ARE this forum. We are the reason that revenue is generated in this place.

Fail.

Thanks for fostering a hostile environment and turning the few people that improved this board away. The least you could have done is tried to work out some solution with him instead of shutting him down completely.
Private entities can do whatever they want, don't even try comparing it to a government.

I don't think he'll be posting on this forum anymore.

I only come here for the lounge now. Without the ridonkulous vendor fees, the cost of parts on rcc is actually lower. ******* incredible. Not to mention most of the more important non-mod/admin members are going over there.

You're missing the point. The Signal to noise ratio of this site is already VERY low.

They're burning the very people that provided viable content to attract page hits. What IB doesn't understand is that the Vendors of the rx7club don't do the same volume of sales that LS1 tech does. Therefore they're mad that this place isn't working out to be the same cashcow that LS1tech is.

I'm not missing any point. They are obviously making money, or this place would be closed. If they closed this lounge, people would make more noise and revenues would fall, but they'd still be open.

Their meat and potatoes is 2nd gen tech, I bet.

This forum isn't their money maker, but it is making money. They won't miss him like we will.
